Sad, even shocking, news for those who follow the lower divisions: the very popular gyoji, Shikimori Kazenosuke, is no longer on the JSA's employees list. The circumstances are as yet unclear.

Wakaikari, upon his promotion, has been renamed "Fujinokawa" - "River of Wisterias". Yes, this "Fuji" (藤) means "wisteria", not Mount Fuji. Shikona containing "river" used to be very common, but nowadays they have become a rarity.

This is the new Isegahama beya location. It's in Tatekawa, Sumida City, much closer to Ryogoku than the previous location in Koto City. This is, of course, from Google Street View, so it doesn't show the new (temporary) sign. maps.app.goo.gl/nUWLSVq7PfMh...

I think there is something you don't understand about kabu exchange. He could absolutely not get Hakuho's kabu if Hakuho wasn't willing and happy to give it to him. These two sure look like enemies, don't they.

Terunofuji looks dapper. I hear this is actually an off-the-shelf suit, as his bespoke one is not ready yet. I wonder where in Japan they stock this size.

Isegahama beya published a "2025 fanbook". Interestingly, neither in the front page nor in the few internal photos that were publish, is there anybody from ex-Miyagino beya. I think this might mean that Isegahama doesn't expect them to be part of the heya for much of 2025.
