All we are asking for is transparency. At the county meeting last night, the Sheriff was largely unwilling to answer any questions about Sumner County's 287(g) contract. If there is no cause for concern, why not talk about it? #287g #abolishice #tennessee #iceout #sumneraid

Tonight we attended the Sumner County Health and Emergency Services meeting to demand transparency around the reality of our county's 287(g) agreement obligating our Sheriff and jail to collaborate with ICE. @traetalks.bsky.social brought up how alarming our arrest numbers are. #abolishice #end287g

If you’re still unsure about contacting your reps (because yes, this is daunting!), here are a few scripts that can be read verbatim or personalized! Either way, call and use your voice for good 💜 #abolishice #educationforall #tennessee

Call your state reps to demand they vote NO on these anti-immigrant laws moving through the TN state legislature. The red stars indicate bills that Sumner County reps are advocating for. Stay tuned for some helpful script guides you can use. #immigrantsarewelcome #abolishice #iceout #tennessee

Wine and Whistles: a little BTS of our whistle packaging gathering. Packages includes a whistle and some information handouts about use and safety. We are preparing to show up for our community. #whistles #sumnercounty #tennessee #abolishice #iceout #chingalamigra

What is a 287(g) ICE contract and who signed Sumner County on to it? This video goes into more detail and points out that our 287(g) contract can be ended at any time by those who have the authority to do so. #abolishice #287g #tennessee #sumnercounty #end287g #iceout

SAID member Trae reads a statement from a lifelong Sumner County resident who lives in a mixed-status family. Her story is an example of how ICE presence and 287(g) contracts stoke fear within our communities. #sumnercounty #tennessee #287g #abolishice

A local educator speaking out about the 287(g) agreement Sumner County's Sheriff signed in 2025. We have asked multiple times for follow up meetings to allow for full transparency and continue to hear nothing from the Sheriff. #ICE #SumnerCounty #tennessee #287g #abolishice
