Philomena: Some people have been writing PHP for over 20 years. Is that because it's particularly difficult to finish? Expert: No, software is constantly evolving. Philomena: So they've been writing the same website for 20 years? Expert: No […] [Original post on social.treehouse.systems]

Things you find in Swedish airports (I've been in Stockholm for work again): reindeer pelts for the equivalent of 152 Euro 🦌 I mean, it's not a weird thing to buy in and of itself. At least in northern Sweden it's very common to own a pelt or two for sitting on […] [Original post on social.lol]

reindeer pelts hanging from a rack on a wall. There's a sign next to them saying they cost 1699 SEK.

Testing the some.pics connection with a little amanita mushroom I met in the woods the other day. #mushroom #fungi #autumn #nature #naturelovers sulitelma.some.pics/6aba23e91ccaa #mushroom #fungi #autumn #nature

Closeup of an amanita mushroom. It's growing out of dead brown leaves but there is green grass and other plants in the background.

Husband recently got a #tamagotchi (apparently it's a thing with his workmates?) and today he forgot it at home. Its name is Lars and it looks like an alien mushroom. I've never had a Tamagotchi in my life and have literally no idea what I'm supposed to do with […] [Original post on social.lol]

As a sidenote: I have to say it's quite nice that out of our top 8 political parties, 5 of them have female party leaders, and 1 has a man and a woman in joint leadership. I may not like them all, but seeing so many women in the highest positions of power makes me some kind of happy.

Collage showing party leaders for Swedish parties. Magdalena Andersson for Socialdemokraterna, Nooshi Dadgostar for Vänsterpartiet, Daniel Helldén and Amanda Lind for Miljöpartiet, Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist for Centerpartiet, Ulf Kristersson for Moderaterna, Jimmie Åkesson for Sverigedemokraterna, Ebba Bush for Kristdemokraterna, and Simona Mohamsson for Liberalerna

We probably won't have a final result of the election until Thursday, but it looks like the left side will win!! By a hair's breadth, but still! :yay: Finger's crossed they can cooperate and get their acts together. I'm so fucking ready for a new goverment.

My country held it's general election today. We've had 4 years with a right-wing government that panders to the most racist nazis-in-all-but-name party and keep mimicing bullshit US rhetoric and tactics. It's been *exhausting* and I'm genuinely scared of how things will develop if we don't vote […]

Oil pastels on frame backing prepped with acrylics. I found my oil pastels again. In the past I really didn't know how to wield these to get results I wanted, but I think this time... This time they clicked. #eye #oilpastels #traditionalart #art

Met an owl on my lunch walk 🦉 In broad daylight! Unsure of the species, but I think it's a tawny owl? #owl

Someone must have linked to my pixel art site from Toyhouse because I'm getting traffic from there. Would've been fun to know who. I've never been on Toyhouse myself, but I've come to understand it's some kind of OC repository site? With roleplaying?

@creaturefeature I agree, no wonder people used to freak out. Love the giant frog theory haha! 😄 We only got a partial eclipse too but it clearly affected the brightness outside. Very cool to see!

Am I the only millennial who never used MySpace? It just wasn't a thing in my circles for some reason, we had other places to hang out online. Asking because I checked out SpaceHey (the "remake" or what to call it) and now feel confused and like I'm both too young AND too old at the same time 😂😅

Added some new-old #pixelart to my pixel site 🐎 I already had a whole page with My Little Ponies, but now I've also added some custom non-Hasbro designs. The pic show only a few, there's a lot more on the actual page. hexedpixels.com/pixels/my-little-po…

As a Swede I'm watching Norway slay at football with both pride and irritation. On one hand, of course I'm rooting for them and sincerely hope they can go all the way! Happy summer solstice! 🌞 This is what midnight looks like for me right now. I'm not above the Arctic Circle so I don't have midnight sun, but I'm close enough it's still bright as day out there. No wonder I don't want to sleep, haha! #summersolstice #midsummer #sweden

"Ok" is the first Icelandic glacier to lose its status as a glacier.
In the next 200 years, all our glaciers are expected to follow the same path.
This monument is to acknow;edge that we knoew what is happening and what needs to be done.
