Still no baby. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to check on the baby but most likely they'll let me wait at least a week until induction. It's strange to want and be so impatient for something while also being absolutely terrified of it - I cry almost every day but I think it will be OK.

Honestly, having this be a small part of my job is truly amazing and something I'm very, very grateful for. It's not often we get to do player interviews about the games they play and what they mean and have meant to them, but when we do it's always lovely, interesting and so much fun.

We're being given 10 (!) kg of very sustainable and carefully sourced ground beef. It's very generous but even for a happy amateur cook like me it feels a bit overwhelming - pls give me some inspiration/ideas what we can do with it! (Huge plus if its good for meal prep and/or freezing!)

Weeks leading up to my birth are so liminal and strange. I try to be prepared, but I can't fathom what the experience will be like - it feels like I'm going to space. I try to see friends and family before it's time and saying goodbye feels weird because I'll be someone else when I see them again.

So many things about us having a child have been very easy for us and I'm so grateful for that but there are still days where I feel genuine grief over my life changing so much, where I feel guilty and worry that I won't be able to show my dog and partner the love and attention I feel for them.

as part of preparing for labour you often learn vocalization, a low, moaning roar, to center yourself, and often courses are like "oh this can feel weird esp for your partner tee hee!!" when i made mine my partner just shrugged and said "its just what you sound like when you're mad at video games"

We had a little scare where I started to feel faint out of nowhere. Maternity ward guessed its low blood pressure and suggested I put my feet up high, "but don't lie on your back, the weight of your baby can cut blood flow to your organs". Now in full shrimp mode with feet up and not comfortable.

Instagram has finally understood that I'm having a baby so my feed is flooded with endless baby/mom advice and opinions and honestly I've never felt this overwhelmed and I just feel like crying. It just never ends and the content is so clearly made to make me feel guilty for not watching.

I had such a strange dream - Dad was living in a trailer and me and my brother were visiting. He seemed recently moved in and everything was a mess but he did his best to make room for us, put out some chairs and set a table and said we could stay as long as we wanted.

Im experiencing the pelvic ache you get when your pregnant body is softening up your bones (haha yeah I KNOW) and yes, it hurts, but since the pain is very similar to what you'd feel when you feel off your bike as a kid it's honestly more humiliating than painful.
