When you see a character/card design that speaks to you, it short circuits your brain and you just HAVE TO BUY it. For example, when I saw Saheeli Rai in the Living Energy precon, I bought it as my first precon and made a deck as a love letter to Ghirapur, Kaladesh, and the Arabian Nights.

The Straw Hat flag is a symbol of joy as the dominant factor of their resistance. They don’t really take a hard stance on anything, except for overcoming any threat to joy (and by proxy, freedom). But the manga is chockfull of flags which have deep symbology at play, see alt text:

Here’s a useful math fact that you’ll never use! You only need 37 digits of pi to measure the circumference of the known universe to an accuracy of the width of a hydrogen atom. As in, all the digits you can memorize is probably good enough. I’ll also throw in a Ramanujan for taste:

In a 2025 article, Karl Brandt proposed that the legend of the Monopod may have been inspired by the remains of thresher sharks with the elongated caudal fin resembling a single giant foot. The long-held belief, dating at least as far back as Pliny the Elder’s Natural History, that every land animal had a counterpart in the sea, and vice versa, may have contributed to the legend.
