The erasure of the female lead after about episode 3 is not only puzzling, it's poor storytelling. Focusing on the younger side characters and drawing out their secondary stories while Claire barely leaves the house perpetuates the fact that women become invisible and passive once they age.

It is unbalanced. That's a major problem with AI. If I had typed in "Frontier Claire Fraser is the best Claire Fraser" AI would consult every article & social media post & validate my opinion with photos of Frontier Claire. I was pointing out how spot on it was. It doesn't mean my view is invalid.

Actually it has pulled from 2 recent articles, one from Deadline and one from Forbes, about "The erasure of Claire" in favor of drawn out side character stories. It's quoting them almost word for word. I'm sure it's pulling from (valid) complaints in Meta sites like Threads as well.

While we're at it...🙂 I can't be the only one who thinks it's bizarre that the only real interactions between Jamie and Claire this season are them fighting over Lord John. Are they 12 years old? After all they've been through, they don't have a better understanding of each other?

I never really thought of it as a slight. I was just thinking, as a viewer, that the final season is limping to the finish line and the choice to focus on so many side characters while Claire stays in the house most of the time is such an odd way to end an epic romance.

Honestly? It looks to me like Claire has become Ma Ingalls and only leaves the house to stand on the porch and whisper Hallmark card lines to her husband or hug an upset kid. She's the main character and yet has had barely any screen time in the past 5 episodes. A very odd choice by the showrunners.

Been politically active & going to rallies for over 25 years. I always ask permission from people I photograph at rallies before I post?, but I'm curious, do people not know that when they attend a protest rally they are being photographed & video recording everywhere and especially by authorities?
