The one being held up by Sen. Kennedy. Do you see any mention in the texts of basketball or the Hawks? 🤔🙄

Rolling Stone has a screenshot of sign Schmitt held up as proof. It shows nothing about city/state/team, nothing about where Smith is. Like they created this exhibit as their big reveal "I bet you didn't know we had this!"
Image of Sen. Kennedy (R-Louisiana and general idiot) holding up a sign that purports to be text messages that prove Jack Smith was in Atlanta. It does not.

*After* he had a complete snit during his questioning telling another senator if they had complaints about his questions, use their own time. Sen. Klobuchar did that. He whines like a fcking baby about the unfairness of life. What a pathetic child he is.

Also, the quoted language in the OP is not what he says. He might mean what the OP wrote, but putting quotes around it suggests those are his exact words spoken in that order. I suggest people listen to the video.

From the story: "It was not clear whether the chatbot was a commercially available one or a US government product." So, um, on the scale of "but her emails" and "signal-gate" where are we on putting secret signals intelligence into a chatbot?

And what I always remember is the respose of the Sikh community was NOT to say "but we're not Muslim" which might have implied the violence might have been more acceptable if they were. Instead, focusing on collective safety and humanity.

America’s first satellite made it to space because a woman created the fuel powerful enough to get it there. Her name was Mary Sherman Morgan. She was the only woman and the only person without a college degree in her engineering department. #SheShed #VivaHerAlliance
Editorial graphic honoring Mary Sherman Morgan, featuring her black-and-white portrait beside a dramatic rocket launch against a starry background with scientific equations. Text reads: “Mary Sherman Morgan — She created the fuel that helped launch Explorer 1.”

To be fair, Trump never had any humanity or basic decency to lose. He's always been and always will be a small sad pathetic man.

What's interesting for the folks who make this argument sincerely is they're simply admitting their business model is built on trapping customers rather than providing something customers wouldn't want to cancel. "If I can't hold my customers hostage, how can I make any money?"

It’s the breathtaking confidence with which these folks operate that leaves me gobsmacked. I wonder if they are ever contrite or at least embarrassed.

3,856 petitions for review were submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court during the 2024-2025 term. 2,527 In forma pauperis; 1,329 paid petitions.

The coinciding of some of the worst SCOTUS decisions with July 4 is one of the many reasons I no longer celebrate July 4.

I agree the court should be expanded. But it's not really a workload problem. They only took 74 cases this year. These delays are theatrical and/or strategic, IMO.

I had to google to see when this was from. Feb. 2026. 7 years later, she's blaming the Green New Deal. Thanks Obama.

Their solution seems to be just gerrymander out Black votes. And SCOTUS green-lit that. So they don't even have to try appealing to all voters.

Also, I think Animal Farm is the more apt Orwell book for right now.
Image with a red background and animals stacked on top of each other. From the bottom, there’s a cow then a donkey then a dog then a chicken then a pig. The text reads “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” It’s a quote from George Orwell’ Animal Farm.

They must pledge to remove his face & name from everything he slapped it on, tear down his monuments to himself, restore Rose Garden & East Wing. Disappear him except for the court records. And disgorge all profits gained by him, his family, and cronies and return that $$$$$$$ to the Treasury.

Every ‘28 Dem candidate must be asked if they will pardon trump & co. They must pledge to investigate & form a truth & reconciliation commission. To propose laws & constitutional amendments to ensure this can’t happen again. That we’re not just going back to 2014 but are going to do better.

5 people in the car. My mother insisted on smoking the entire way there. With the car windows closed because it was January & too cold to have them open. She just laughed when we complained that it burned our eyes, made it hard to breathe, smelled awful. She didn’t GAF.

I grew up with both parents who smoked. Of course I was a drug addict and alcoholic and the other was just an alcoholic so things were great. They both smoked about 2-3 packs a day. And they were both really selfish assholes. Case in point, driving to NC for my grandfather‘s funeral.

Waahh! We didn’t care other people might get emphysema or cancer, or that we were making entire restaurants reek, staining walls and windows, occasionally starting fires. Smoking was literally the only reason we were allowed to go outside! And everyone knows casual hookups don’t happen to nonsmokers

"What happens when it's cloudy?" might have been a sincere question in 1980s. Might even be a sincere question from a 5yo today. When the Interior Secretary asks it in 2026 it's nothing but willful, paid-for stupidity designed to comfort fact-averse republican voters & prop up oil company donors.

Izzy was also fearless. Once walking into our laundry room, before door fully open, she'd run in & killed a mouse. 😢 It was hard to reconcile such ruthlessness from my fluffy sweet girl. I know it's natural, but still. Bonide Mouse Magic peppermint sachets kept the mouse away so no more of that!

That's what I love about cats. They have standards and expect to be respected. I love dogs too, but feel like they could learn something about self esteem from cats. 😀 We need dogs for unconditional love & joy. We overlook that we need cats for conditional love & joy. So we learn to actively love.

Exactly! We met her at a shelter, looking at a siamese-ish kitten My first cat was siamese. That kitten was very timid & our house full of animals (8 dogs & 5 cats) was not good fit. Izzy walked right up to the front of the cage and demanded attention, purring loud enough to be heard many feet away

She loved everyone; cuddle fungus, drooled when petted. Tended to all the other cats, grooming them, etc. Her loss hit me like a ton of bricks.
Image of tortoiseshell cat, Isabel, relaxing in a tube-shaped cat scratching post. She's mostly black with tortie markings on her face and green eyes. She is gorgeous.

We had a tortoiseshell, Isabel, Izzy to her friends & EVERYONE was her friend. Were confidently told by so many people that torties are mean, aggressive, unfriendly, etc. Izzy had never read that tho.

They bring jobs! They're the job creators! First, no. Consumers are job creators. Second, even if they were, so? Jobs aren't objectively good. Esp if all they do is funnel money up and out of the community. Jobs should benefit people and their communities. Not just billionaires and Wall St.

Accusations didn't "lead" to violence. Violence was already there. What Epstein did was violence. If Trump was involved, he did violence. It was just violence against girls. Men like Matt don't GAF about that violence. When you're a RW POS, things only matter if it happens to him or people like him

We’re supposed to conclude that the departure of billionaires who don’t pay their taxes will harm CA because it won’t get the tax dollars they don’t pay.
