Yes. I tried image search too. This wasn’t found but there were interesting approaches to embroidery/knitting odd shapes to turn into eg a flamingo. I didn’t know there are people knitting jumpers for chickens that lose their feathers. Little tank tops. A joyful diversion from ‚the news’.

I think it’s real. I’m not an expert 😂 I recently made a scarf with some stitches creating a 45 deg angle 😂 one of the hardest things I’ve done 😳It has similar shaping here and there. What a time to be alive, when we have to question the authenticity and provenance of an appliquéd knitted chicken 😳

Southampton manager Tonda Eckert given six-week suspended ban for Spygate scandal
* Eckert was charged by FA with misconduct * Southampton found to have spied on three opponents Southampton’s manager, Tonda Eckert, has been given a six-week suspended ban by the Football Association for his part in the Spygate scandal that landed the club with a four-point penalty and expulsion from last season’s Championship playoffs. The outcome means Eckert can continue in the dugout, starting with Sunday’s derby at home to Portsmouth. The German has been fined £28,000 by the FA after admitting its charges, with his ban suspended until the end of next season. Continue reading...

All carers need a break sometimes – and far too many carers don’t get them. This week, my wife Emily and I are taking our first two nights away as just us for over 18 years. When we’re back, I’ll keep fighting to guarantee respite breaks for every carer.

It’s brilliant the PM has recognised the issues Lib Dems have campaigned on for so long are central to fixing our country & growing our economy. As a result of his speech, social care, closer ties with EU and PR are now firmly in the political mainstream, which is exactly where we want them to be.

Big news from Labour Conference: the PM has announced the government's plan to scrap first past the post. Seats that match votes would change British politics for good, but only if it happens. I've added my name. Join me? action.electoral-reform.org.uk/page/201578/...

The PM used his big speech to promise to fix Westminster's broken voting system.
We've heard promises before. I've signed to make sure this one is kept. It takes 30 seconds

No one with a full-time job should have to turn to a food bank. In-work poverty is all too common and that has to change.

Sepsis is the second biggest killer of cancer patients. Yet infection is only mentioned once in the National Cancer Plan. We need more diagnostic tests so we can protect vulnerable patients.

Chalk streams are incredibly beautful and vital ecosystems for local wildlife like Atlantic Salmon. They need proper protections if we are to ensure that they remain for future generations. Find the letter from the new Chalk Streams All Party Parliamentary Group in the comments:

I'm hopeful #Burnham will continue to work with @eddavey.libdems.org.uk to fix the social care crisis. But that challenge will be made so much harder if we don't get the economy growing again by rebuilding our relationship with Europe. I joined @news.sky.com today to review the new PM's first PMQs.

Imagine seeing droughts, wildfires and new diseases and thinking that we should abandon climate targets. The Conservatives are now banning candidates from standing in elections if they believe in taking action to protect the environment. We need politicians who follow science.
