Back to normal on the #Blyth estuary after all the White-Billed Diver shenanigans. 4 decent #ColourRinged birds this week already. Teesmouth Shelduck for 4th year, Cumbrian Avocet for 3rd year and a couple of Scottish ringed Shags for their 6th years . Picturesque innit 🤪 #NEbirding

After a quiet winter with only 3 #ColourRinged Shags on #Blyth East Pier it’s fair to they’ve been on the move. Tonight’s roost held 7 birds including 3 Isle of May birds, with Green ARX, ringed 2014 back for another winter. 2 new birds included Yellow 8F8. Any ideas @josiethebirder.bsky.social ?

Well just like that, it’s October and after 2 blank visits the first #ColourRinged Shag is back on #Blyth East Pier. However, I wasn’t expecting it to be Red BBVE, last year’s @bardseybirdobs.bsky.social juvenile ringed at Tornado Ledge on 8/7/24. I wonder where it’s been since April ? #NEbirding
