Recurring Reverie is undergoing its 3rd version. We are looking to invite more players into the fold. It is taking on a simpler, more streamlined form. RR is a boffer LARP with the goals of making sure players who enjoy combat, lore, and non-combat all have a safe and fun home. We are in DFW, Tx

Making some decent progress on my book. Knocked out 1300 words or so these past couple hours. Struggling as a "new" writer. I naturally write concisely. I tend to write everything in order instead of jumping around. Gotta break those two habits, and im starting to do so. One step at a time.

I want to get back into writing. I dont want to jump directly back into my book, so that leaves me with writing a short story. Now the question remains, do I write something that explores magic systems and share it, or do I write something embarrassing and keep it locked away forever?

What is some of your favorite tabletop game systems? Do you have any homebrew rules you like to implement? For me, when I run Star Wars fantasy flight games version, I double force rating. When I run Anima: Beyond Fantasy I like to give some extra starting Creation Points (starting feat stuff)

Update on my LARP, Recurring Reverie, we are entering second edition. I just need to do a couple things. First is to balance skill costs (mostly done), and need to rebuild the character sheets. Once that is done we will run a few games. If you are in the DFW area and want to try LARPing, DM me!

Been a minute since I posted. Recently I started falling in love with a TTRPG system called Fabula Ultima. For me it is a joy to play and run. Think of it as an old school JRPG in TTRPG format, with some modern QOL improvements. Overall it might take my top spot for favorite game soon.

I feel weird with my disconnect as a player and GM in TTRPGs. As a GM I love running slice of life and social encounters, and only moderately enjoy combat. However, when I get to play it almost feels swapped. Not sure what I really enjoy at this point. Gotta have a mix of them though.

Alright... here me out... a modified west marches style game, but using Star Wars FFG as the system. Explore whatever planets you want in the galaxy, each having various encounters and loot to acquire. Secrets uncovered and figured out could provide permanent boons to all players. Eh? Eh?

I know I'm nowhere near completing my book, even though it is relatively well mapped in my head. However, I am happy with an alternate ending that recently came to my brain. I like it more than the original. Can't wait to see where this book goes!

Got an idea for a very, very, unofficial star wars larp. I think i might work on it soon with a friend I made who has never LARPed before and is interested in trying it out. I figure if they learn a game by building it with me they could more easily show their friends too!

Just got back from a LARP event, and it was great! I went out and was a NPC the entire event to help out. I'm sore as all get out, but it was good to get back out there. I missed the last LARP event I wanted to go to, but this was a good make up event for me I think!

Been giving some more thoughts on the book I'm working on (slowly). I like the inclusion of different minority groups that I have planned, but also I'm excited to see these characters come to life. A couple of them are going to be molded (with permission) of OCs from some friends of mine!

So, my new campaign is going to be a weekly game, which I'm excited for. My games have been bi-weekly for years now. Anyways, I've decided to give my players vague hints of the upcoming sessions through song lyrics or poem snippets. It's gonna be great!

Working on a new homebrew campaign for the Anima: Beyond Fantasy TTRPG system. A wizard school campaign where the players are going on adventures, building new spells and magic systems, and heavy RP with each other and NPCs. Light puzzles, mostly RP and Combat!

Got to work on my book recently and it spurred on some new ideas for the side characters and their growth. The more that I think on the book the larger it might get. I don't want to split it up though, so it might be massive? Idk, we will find out when we get there.

Working on some TTRPG plotlines and world settings based on the end of a previous campaign. This one is rebuilding a wizards college / commune. Gonna homebrew a bit and also work with players to come up with unique styles of magic for themselves. Should be fun!
