Is “pragmatic” the new, “grown up” word? Andy, there’s nothing “pragmatic” about drilling for more oil & gas - to even consider it with the planet literally on fire is total madness. How many times must we say it will do nothing for energy bills or security? It would be an act of utter recklessness

Drilling for more oil & gas in the North Sea won't lower bills, it won't make us more energy independent and it won't insulate us from price shocks. A Labour backslide on this would be a huge betrayal. Double down on renewables. Insulate every home. Lower bills, permanently.

The Scottish Government is scrapping the plan to help people switch to cheap, clean heating. At the same time, they're turning our rent control proposals into a system that locks in above-inflation rent hikes, everywhere. Green action is being watered down, and it'll hit people in the pocket.

Brrr! With temperatures plunging, here's how we can help wildlife weather the cold. ❄️

This should be the final straw for the private sale of fireworks in Scotland. Councils must be able to limit displays to organised events. Firework noise has long caused extreme stress for our pets and wildlife. It's unfair and dangerous to allow it to continue.

How charming! This Long-tailed Tit appears to have found a perch in your feed. 😍

This round, fluffy Long-tailed Tit is perched delicately on a thin, forked branch with a light, textured surface. If you learn anything today, it should be this: We're burning more fossil fuels and releasing more fossil fuel CO₂ than ever. Despite what people had hoped, anthropogenic CO₂ emissions have not peaked. To stay below +1.5°C of global warming, we're supposed to cut emissions by 50% by 2030. 🥲
