It’s a little late to start thinking about protecting the kids now. Should have thought about that back in November of 2023 and voted for the lady with the weird laugh. But, hey, we’ve got war with Iran, spiraling inflation, $5 gas, and an all out assault on the working class to deal with instead.

And the chaser. D’orc 8. I like the story that Brett Bean is spinning. I see a lot of negativity towards this series because of how the first issue’s release was affected by speculator manipulation* but that has no bearing on the story itself which is a fun fantasy romp. *still unproven.

What a coincidence as I also have an Incredible Hulk issue for this week’s Top Shelf Friday. Incredible Hulk Annual 11 from 1982 with an globe spanning cover by Al Milgrom. One of my earliest childhood comics that I read to tatters. I recently replaced it with a copy in much better condition.

One of my local comic shops just sold a 9.9 Absolute Batman 1 for a ridiculous amount of money. Of the 25 copies he submitted 24 were 9.8 along with this 9.9. #Batman #Comics

Top Shelf Friday - Finally Finding The Issue You Needed To Complete A Run Edition The Witching Hour 65. Found this while on our trip to Minneapolis. I now have the entire run of the series, 1-85. Kind of sad to see this one come to a close. It was a fun series to track down.

I did. I closed out at least 4 runs I’ve been working on. Picked up some interesting, at least to me books, and a couple of surprises that I wasn’t expecting to find. Still trying to stick to my “wish list” and avoid impulse purchases but I wasn’t always successful in that regard.

Awesome day exploring shops in Minneapolis. Time Bomb Vintage, Nostalgia Zone and Extreme Noise Punk Rock. I managed to close out a few runs with this one shop. Way too much to explore beyond comics. Movie novelizations, underground comics, classic magazines.
