If we're going back that far then The Celts are probably the indigenous people, even though they also migrated here. The story of humans is the story of migration, we've been doing it for millenia.

By her definition it can easily be argued that no one is English, but it can also be true that few can be British and certainly not her.

@suellabraverman.bsky.social has a very blinkered view on the empire and needs to do far more reading on the damage caused to many countries and the deaths inflicted. She also has a racist view of being English. British is not a nationality as Britain is an island not a nation.

And so? All government spending creates new currency/money. Despite the lies told, there is never a financial constraint on the government. The two constraints are the availability of real resources and inflation.

And as the government creates the currency it cannot go bankrupt.

Given the government creates currency whenever it spends the deficit is not an issue. Current inflation is cost led not demand so the fiscal position is no problem except to those who want to maintain wide inequalities.

Read the treasury blue book - you will see that the economic forecasts for next five years shows a fall in the government deficit whilst at the same time the current private sector surplus becomes a deficit. This is using the sectoral balances model.

All government spending creates new money so there is never a financial constraint on government. The constraints are the availability of real resources and inflation. It is past time you had alternative viewpoints ones based on actual knowledge of how this really works.

More scare stories that is based on failed neoclassical economics. The U.K. creates money whenever the government spends. The government deficit enables a private sector surplus as shown in the treasury blue book.

Next time you hear UK politicians and the msm say we can't afford welfare, remember it is smaller as a share of the GDP than it was 15 years ago, not bigger. In 2025-26 is estimated to be 10.8% of GDP. France is over 31% of its GDP 55% of the welfare bill is spent on pensions. ##NotOnOurSide 🔥🇬🇧

Two-tier policing is real and ever-present. Black and Brown people experience it. Women experience it. Pro-Palestine and green protesters experience it. But the last people who would ever experience it are right-wing white men. They are the people with whom the police instinctively align.

All the right now has to offer is conflict. Some of its key figures have moved on from culture wars towards what seems to be a deliberate effort to foment civil war. If you're a conflict entrepreneur, the worse it gets, the better it is for you. Where they break, we must mend, building community.

Its a shocking indictment of UK media that so many people don’t understand what Farage’s policies are or the harm they will inflict on the country - if they did support would quickly melt away. If UK news shows can’t get the job done let’s do it ourselves
