yea so true, it probably came from following lots of nsfw accounts! but it's so weird how it wasn't like, suggestive art, or something a bit more general at first within Internet fandoms. Maybe a bit of random fanart.. no it went "nah, this specifically" at first at least. which feels unspecific LOL

i so agree with being weirded out at people who are annoyed at the algorithm, though. For after a few months, it's fine. It's completely regular. i do sometimes still get the millennial joke and orangeguy political cartoon here and there in between the usual stuff. However, like you said, it absolutely comes from.. the platform. That's just bsky's biases and honestly I don't mind so I'm not fighting against it.

but i can't comprehend lived-in accounts being like "whyyy do i have all this fetish art on my timelineee" when like!? how does that happen...

for my personal exp, i assume the diaper stuff was perhaps from someone i followed and interacted lots with early on before i started following like fifty million people who draw one specific thing, but the algorithm truly zeroed in on general furry fetish art which was funny and quite silly to me. Like yeah sure okay. quite the whiplash of content. i also think "discover" has a poorer algorithm than like, the "for you" page.
