#24 - Castlevania (NES) Was finally compelled to beat this one. Didn't feel as hard as some folks make it out to be, though was absolutely a learning experience. Kinda wish Holy Water wasn't practically required to comfortably beat some of the later bosses, but not that big of a deal.

#23 - Re:Zero: Memory Snow Oh yeah, I kinda skipped over this initially. Really cute side story. Funny how much foreshadowing is packed in here, especially for Season 2-related events. Also was nice to see a bit of focus put on Ram here. Feels like she didn't get enough of that in S2 & S3.

#22 - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GameCube) Great game, but holy fuck am I bad with even mild horror elements. Lower Torvus Bog can eat my whole ass. Fun time with the boss fights though. Final Dark Samus fight felt a little unintuitive, but rest were enjoyable. Oh, and 100% item completion, so 👌

#21 - Donkey Kong Land (RetroAchievements) Saw that new fan-remake come out, and wanted to go back and actually beat the original, since it was a childhood game of mine. The RA set looked pretty straightforward, so figured I'd go ahead and knock that out too. A bit clunky to play, but still fun.

#20 - Mega Man X Regenesis Interesting premise, lackluster execution. I didn't dislike my time playing this, but I definitely felt somewhat bored, at best. Neither the boss weapons, nor the punch/kick upgrades felt fun to use, and a >lot< of the game lacked polish with the level design and bosses

Nah, OCG just has a unique designation for monsters with the "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set" clause. Think they started retroactively adding it a while ago- Good example would be CED. When it got reprinted, they added the "Special Summon" ability to its typing.

Yeah, sure thing! Main game-plan here is Rank 8 spam. Shining Sarc engine represents Tachyon + either Dark Paladin or second Rank 8 (JAM Fever/Felgrand), and the Punk cards are great for building up additional interactions (Sharakusai, Ghost Ogre, Dangerous Gabu, etc.)

Heck yeah! Mega Man 7 blitzed in one stream! Really short and sweet RetroAchievement set, barring Slash Man: Lord of Buffalo Wild Wings, and his ceiling sauce attack of doom. Ending the first Mega Man RA marathon here to move to other games for a while, but I'd say this was a great note to end on

#18 - Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x *Saurian* This was actually the first Star Force game I played years ago, so kinda a "full-circle" moment, completing this one. Narratively a step or two down from SF1, but a step up in terms of gameplay. Can't wait to play SF3 next! ...after a small break.

R2 - Kewl Tune (1-2, 🎲✅️) G1 opened Lurie, had no way into my Yummy line, and got Ash'd on my Requiem. G2 managed to build a full board, and ate through every interaction gradually with pops, SPoly and Called By. G3 they were able to read my full hand, letting them play through my known Droplet.
