Saw this in theatres - it was pretty cool. Not like WOAH Need to see it! But it was enjoyable. I'd call this a fun to watch at 1PM on a sunday afternoon kind of flick.

I saw the newer one in theaters and it was one of my favorites. It was kind of disappointing to see the comments section just mired in the old movie vs new movie nostalgia clinging when the new movie was enjoyable.

I went and saw it after seeing this post and it was everything I wanted it to be. One thing I was worried about was that they’d try to explain it. I left the theatre with about as much as I walked in with. If you love liminal space you should see it. This movie was perfect IMO.

Similarly if useful LLMs become a commodity and can run on consumer or high end gaming hardware in 2-4 yrs, you won't really need special equipment for it.

I think there is a total misnomer about buying AI hardware right now where the publicly available LLMs just aren't in any way useful compared to the cutting edge stuff After people realize this it will be like the crypto crashes and hardware will be normal priced again.

Id love to get into pandaria more but I think the notion of by the time I get settled it could be gone is just too daunting. There are so many versions of WoW all on treadmills going different places its hard to hitch up my boat to anything except SoD + Retail.

I don’t think their writing team has a quality standard. That age of like dragonlance, forgotten realms, dark sun styled fantasy and writing has been dead in WoW, DnD for 10 years (they shared a writer pool). And replaced with girly cute core writers. It’s just different audiences entirely.

Eh just do it man. I feel the same way about python: people with a passion should do what they’re passionate about. I think AI is its own bubble and ecosystem. Like AI could never do NimLang well; it’s niche. But I see nimLang being a necessary replacement to python, personally.

and tbh the worst part about lockouts was always that if I liked a raid and wanted to just keep chilling with 25 players and raiding, I couldn't do that because I burned my token on it. Private servers had a lot of appeal in that regard

I wanted this game a month ago but now I feel like I’ve played so much Arc raiders the moment is going to just be passed. They waited too long to release it IMO. A month or two after arc dropped this should have followed. Feels like the genre caps out on direction after a season.

Man I'd love to see a steamdeck refresh at some point too. I feel like all this hardware is really giving Valve more direct experience and a path towards stability in designing OSes/firmware. Very excited to see all this drop. I'll be looking back into it.
