My wife found some drawings of mine I thought got lost in our recent move. It was a challenge to redesign characters from the Donkey Kong/Mario Bros arcade games

Tried to make Jumpman look like a mix of Mario and Luigi. DK SR is Cranky in his prime. Lady I took some inspiration from Odyssey Pauline (who this is not in this take)

Gave Jr a baggy T-Shirt. Spike has some movie inspiration in him. Stanley I tried to adapt from G&W “Greenhouse”

Humble beginnings. This is their arcade “Mario Bros” appearance.

Nothing too crazy here. Shell creepers are basically buzzy beetles with Koopa shells. Side steppers are pretty much the same. Icee is a sad lil guy. Fighter Fly I tried to lean into a rubber hose sort of feel

I’ve been wanting to increase my skills in the kitchen so I learned how to cut up a whole chicken and made meals with it throughout the week. We got: Soup Stock Karaage Orange Chicken Breaded Baked Breast Fried Chicken Skin And not pictured but I roasted the rest before it could go bad.

I made this concept for a DK themed GBA. I know there wasn’t any big DK games on the system (except maybe the country ports) but I had the idea anyway and I think the shape of the GBA helps with the barrel design.
