It's my button. The word that will get me to squirm. To remind me of what I have inside me, of what wants to come out. Poop means pooping. Means pushing. Means having pooped. Need to poop. Going poop. Went poop. It's a fun verb and noun.

It's fun to say. It's a fun word to think. It's cute and endearing. When a friend tells me that they "gotta go poop", it hits so much more differently than just "I gotta go to the bathroom", or that they just "gotta go". It's raw and unfiltered.

But it's also short and sweet and straight to the point. It almost evokes itself, what it *is*. "Mess" could be anything, but poop? That stuff came from your butt. You *made* it. Food went into your body, and turned into *poop*, and then you *pooped* it out.

Poop is a good neutral term. Maybe because I've always preferred middlespace to babyspace, that's why I gravitate to it. It's not quite adult, but it's not quite baby either. You can also just say "poopy" if you really want to make them blush~

They're adult terms, used to remind someone that they're an adult, and they just did something specifically *un-adult.* Whereas the others are better at conveying that they did something *infantile.* One says "you are not this thing", the other says "you are this thing".

"Fudge", "Brownies", "Stinkies", are great at infantizing the act and object. They're also evocative, allowing a little more filth by enabling the reader to imagine the mess itself, without the same ick. And they're great metaphors. I love when someone asks if I'm baking any fudge in my oven.~

They're good at conveying heft and size, and should be used for emphasis, but throwing in a "poop" and now and then reminds the reader of exactly *what* it is that this character did. They didn't *just* push out a "load" into their pants, this character *pooped themselves.*

"Mess", "Load", "Mass" are all abstractions. They're a way of saying that this thing is poop, but as a more palatable version to those who are less interested in the scat angle. They should absolutely be used for flavor and variety, but too much can dull the moment.

Earlier today I felt it coming, and had to clench to stop the poop, which stopped the pee. So I had to relax to start peeing again, which cause the poop to start to move, so... It was just a back and forth of start and stop, peeing and not peeing, turtleheading and holding...
