I didnt really have the colors i wanted for this one, but i think i made the best of it with what i has!

Tiny canvas painting of an axolotl. Instead of the usual pink/albino, its in classic brown-grey coloration, lots of stippled dots to create a gradient. The background is a bright turquoise with a few rendered bubbles. The axolotl looks especially derpy.

May i offer you a Weird Unicorn in these trying times?

Artist’s hand holding a tiny 2”x2” canvas with paint marker on it. It depicts a weird long snouted unicorn in shades of yellow and pink, that almost seems to glow against a black background. Theres a copper gold orb around the tip of the horn.

My knives got dull halfway through and i had to do some improvising so its a touch messy, but i still had fun with it!

Black and white scratchboard piece. A salamander perches upon clumps of moss, drops of dew or rain likewise balanced on the fronds. Leaves of unseen plants peek in on the top of the piece, dripping more water that the salamander is trying to catch on its tongue

What’s that? Another robot dragon!? You don’t say! This one is Derecho!

Digital watercolor of a robotic dragon with vaguely birdlike characteristics. Its wings are covered in electromagnetic paneling, with great blades like feathers at the tips. Its horns are reminiscent of electrodes and tesla coils, and its front feet have raptor-like retractable claws

Ikor Ch2 (part 5/7) This is probably one of my favorite sequences, visually.

Another HZD style dragon comm, this one is named Argos!

Digital watercolor- a robotic dragon. Sensory wires and cords are braided along much of its length, and some droop loosely off the chassis. The wing tips end in great industrial hooks, and it digs at the ground with earth churning claws, despite its lanky frame

Sphinx! Having so much fun with these… they’re really great for color theory practice.

Posca paint marker on mini (3x6inch) canvas.
A portrait of a golden sphinx with midnight blue wings, adorned copper and jade jewelry, including ear plugs, dangling ear pendants, a choker, and a breastplate with a scarab carved on the front.
The background is a vivid vermillion, and the tips of the wing feathers end in sky blue

This was my first serious preplanned piece with the paint markers, learned a lot doing it!

Posca paint marker drawing— a red dragon has draped itself under a small waterfall, the water running over it in blue trickles. The tip of its tail, which sticks out of the water, glows softly, attracting fireflies.

Scratchboard from last night, just playing with texture and lighting!

Scratchboard (white lines on black page) of a great glowing draconic face, mostly just the mouth, eyes, and nostrils visible glowing from within. Stylized flame and smoke pours from the mouth. The whole thing is ringed by starkly lit crystals

HZD style digital watercolor of a friends dragon OC named Horizon… So you could call it… Horizon^2

A robotic dragon depicted in ink and watercolor washes. The dragon is serpentine and absolutely covered in solar-panel frills (including the wings), and has a complex antenna array for antlers around his head.

The traditional-media specific issue of “oh god it looks really good even just half done, what if I fuck it up trying to do more!?”

Returning to my traditional media roots for a bit to help with art burnout! I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I was doing it…

NINN AN AK the Magpie Lord of Dilmun, dragon, keeps human civilizations like some people keep room sized ant farms and intricate fish tanks. She also really likes birds.

Weird fungus I saw on a rotting log on the way to work! Enchanted by how purple it was. It turned an off white color when I checked it on my way home.

Scratchboard style Comm. These are such a blast to make, I need to find time/opportunities to use this style more. It’s time intensive but very pleasing.
