I didn’t know it was possible but I did this 12-layer #linocut #reductionprint in 8 days (unexpected deadline). Based on the Seabird Drawing Week, drawing gannets on Bass Rock. This print will be on display at the Annual SWLA Natural Eye exhibition at Mall Galleries in London, 1-10 Oct. Excited!!

New design on lino, this is a turnstone (Dutch: Steenloper) foraging on rocks covered in seaweeds. Ran in to this bird on Waddenisland Texel last week. This will be a #linocut #reductionprint 🪶 Also some other birds that I drew from life there.

“De patatgeneratie” (‘The fast food generation’). #Linocut #reductionprint, 6 layers with 11 colours of ink. A bunch of gulls dancing in the air, but looking closer you’ll see that one of them stole a French fry🍟 (‘patatje’ in Dutch). Gulls fascinate me. They are loud and full of personality. 🪶

Finished this coot on the river #linocut #reductionprint (30x51cm), printed in 7 subsequent layers, all carved from the same block of lino, thereby reducing the remaining linoleum with each layer. Edition of 18. 🪶

Finished new #linocut #reductionprint “Hoog & droog” of this coot high up on its nest sometime in June when the reeds were vibrantly green and fresh.
