Advertising has become so disgustingly corrupt that I hate having to do any self-promotion. If I could, I'd find like 2000 loyal readers and sell exclusively to them. I don't want a huge audience, I want the right audience.

Not the artist's fault, definitely the organizer's, I will say this though: When you sell fan prints, you're putting up advertising for an entity that doesn't care whether you live or die. You're boosting their exposure while stifling your own.

We can see JK Rowling continues to lean on the success of her work in order to execute awful things. Neil Geiman is so beloved when the story first broke , it was basically ignored for half a year. Open shitting on their work helps dismantle the mechanisms that keep them afloat.

People are saying that declaring "their work was never good" when a creator is revealed to be a shitty person is not helpful or useful , but I disagree. Tearing apart their work , which often enabled them to become a monster , is an important part of the healing process.

It would be a lot less convenient for game companies to preserve their history if an employee suddenly became relevant in a bad way. Say, be brought up on charges/allegations/etc.

Every piece of art is indictive of where and when (and who) it came from. It becomes a timestamp of itself, a historical document. For a corporation to prevent preservation of it's employees art is history erasure.
