Poor Otis, his truck broke down and left him stranded in bumfuck nowhere. And it's getting dark, too... But luckily a kind soul driving by slows down, and Otis will be more than happy to pay for a ride to the next gas station! 1/2

A price for the ride, gladly paid. But one can't help but wonder if the kind stranger knows that this isn't Otis' first time waving his thumb on the side of the road, or that many drive that exact route specifically in hopes of encountering the infamous hitchhiker? 2/2

Other than that I think it's mostly just me being super used to pencil R, since I've used it for years and years at this point.

-out contrast that would demand more pressure from the pencil R. I've just found it easier for my hand to do that with another brush, I use one that imitates a mechanical pencil that I got from a paid pack (truegrit chromagraph) but any brush could work, even pencil R with right settings/pressure.

Thank you! For the most part I still use that brush for most linework, by "smoother" idk if you mean the entirety of the lines or perhaps specifically the darker outlines? Because in that case I have gotten to the habit of reinforcing the lines with a more solid black ink brush at the end, to bring-

It's definitely the shoulders for me, I'm trying physio moves that do help in general but it's the sitting at my desk and leaning over the tablet that triggers the pain again. Likely I just need to give the exercise more time to improve my posture and look into making the tablet setup more ergonomic

Pete🔞 @stuckinapit.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I hate the thought of those tablet stand that prop it upright because that position just looks uncomfortable as hell to me, but idk maybe I should look into something like that. I know the pain is mostly about my posture 💀💀💀💀

I'm stuck in a loop of struggling to draw in a way that most likely would correct itself if I just sat down to draw for a long enough time, but my shoulders start hurting severely when I sit down to draw for more than 10 minutes :'') This is shiiitt!!

The opportunity to mingle in such company is simply too tantalizing to the up-and-coming industrialist, as new money rarely sees such acknowledgment from the old guard. They must see something special in him...

To be fair the normal search for websites and such gives me no grief, that works well and doesn't blast me with all ai summeries. It's just the image search. But I've had bad experiences with duckduckgo's image search before, even without all the slop. The results are just not it, in general.

120

Pete🔞 @stuckinapit.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

That's exactly what I'm using. The noAI version, all AI results turned off, before:2020 added to the search. And all it gives me are AI images. That's why I'm so annoyed 😅

160

Pete🔞 @stuckinapit.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

So fucking annoyed, I tried switching to a search engine that's supposed to filter out ai results, and I'm using all the search terms that should rule it all out too, but genuinely 80% of the image results are still pure ai slop, for all my searches no matter the subject. What the fuck.
