I used to have a work colleague who was a bit of a “charmer” and when he wanted to dismiss somebody he’d had enough of he’d say “F off and E.S & D”. E.S&D means eat shit and die. We should try that with Trump and his ridiculous regime. I suspect he’d rather respect that.

I’m not convinced there is a “sharp growth” in non-white NHS staff over the last (say) 25 years. It looks like there might be an increase from around 15% to 28% of the workforce. And that’s certainly significant BUT includes a large cohort the public would never see. Would people really notice

It's great advice. Got it done for my parents and I've done it myself. If people are cost limited then by all means do it yourself but I'd suggest paying a professional - maybe the same time as you do/update your will.

Perhaps energy tariffs for households should all be on a sliding scale and rising as consumption increases perhaps even triggering a retrospective increase in the previously lower initial rate of a threshold of use is breached. Would encourage lower use and hit wealthier users proportionately more
