An aside: there was also this excellent cat who used to hang around the old Poole Lifeboat station. My wife and I nicknamed him Salty Jim and he was always there everytime we went. Wonder if he's still foing?

Here's a treat. Recorded direct from the sound desk at Emerald City, New Jersey, USA, 17th April 1981, but released this year on Andy Partridge's APE House label. Great document of XTC in their pomp. Its fast, raw, sweaty, disorientating, everything a gig should be. I wish I'd seen it.

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to Mollie. She was a small cat with a big personality, and bags of attitude. Of all the people there are in the world, she hated us the least, and allowed us to be owned by her. We will miss her greatly. RIP.
