Ich hatte einen bösen Traum, dass Fritze #Merz mit dem #noAfD Verbot wartet um dann im neuen, um deren Sitze kleineren Parlament die danach stärkste Kraft zu stellen. Das ergibt so wenig Sinn dass ich es ihm nun zutraue, warum macht er auch nur immer das Gegenteil vom offensichtlich Richtigen? #CxU

Occasional reminder; seems relevant in regards to recent political events. Elections aren't fancasts where you get to choose the perfect person for each role. If there's no great options, vote for the least-bad person.

Time to remember the best voting advice I have heard — Voting isn't marriage — it's public transport.
You are not waiting for "the one" who is absolutely perfect. You are getting the bus. And if there isn't one going exactly to your destination, you don't stay at home and sulk — you take the one going closest to where you want to be.

I like this point of view - Wolf separates personal popularity and professional quality, and further mentions that not everything that makes soldiers happy also makes the war end sooner. In the end, this IS an internal matter of Ukraine and they ARE doing it the European way.

No, i am not "new to this". As far as pseudo religion goes, repentance is as universal as "an eye for an eye", which is a sure way to blind the world but also explicitly not what Ukraine is doing for the last 11 years. It's not me or the world who forces them to be "good", they choose to be better.
