Can I assume they did not in fact build and hang a giant Jumbotron and hang it on the outside of the building?

It'd be great to see a rapid response counter ad that talks about how the entire Democratic team needs to be elected not just because of the individuals who make up the team but because the Republicans continue to steal your money and steal your future to benefit a few who don't care about you.

I think the growing assumption has to be that this is their desire for every single nation in this hemisphere. All actions should be viewed through the prism of this approach. Makes far more sense then.

It's not a stretch to conclude it's possible that the decision makers in this administration do not as a rule like the citizens of the United States

The equivalent in Massachusetts would be if all the county sheriffs came to a press conference with Boston Celtics tank tops over their uniform.

Hilarious. "we have a constitutional obligation to win wars… and to win elections." I'd love to have a job where I can just say anything and nobody bats an eye.

It is an absolute scourge. No one asked for it, no one likes it, and nobody benefits except for the owners via concessions, which is why they do it. Less talking = more eating and drinking. God forbid you talk to someone during a game, god forbid you sit in the quiet tension of a tight game.

Baseball—and many other sports—used to offer games with very little sound besides the cheering of fans. But now stadiums have nonstop stimulation, acting as theaters as well as sports venues, @elcush.bsky.social writes:

When Did Sports Get So Loud?
Athletes have become influencers. In-game production has become “storytelling.” And everything has gotten very, very stimulating.

That the Supreme Court has ruled the president can without cause fire officials in myriad departments and effectively destroy our civil service -- but cannot fuck with a Federal Reserve boardmember -- says it all. Fuck over the people and how they are serviced? Cool. Fuck with the money? Hell no.

you have to admit it's a tad complicated. The suggestion I would make is one party offer an idea, and then the other party can either agree or work together to get to a point where there is agreement. And then, and this is the real tricky part, write it down and sign it. And then show it to people.

So, the second wife is the one he stalked by secretly letting the air out of her tires so that she'd need a ride and, wow, he'd be right there just as she realized her completely random predicament to give her a ride so that she could eventually marry her stalker?

An excellent point. Any outrage should be confined to the idea of this guy being entrusted with the traditional responsibilities of a DNI. But when we remind ourselves that that position as it's been known no longer exists, a' la a supreme court justice or DOJ head, it makes perfect sense

Honestly breaks my heart. It's like they're literally trying to make the future worse. If anyone does just a 10-minute dive on US groundwater shortages, as another example, apoplexy would be a reasonable reaction. If something is objectively for the greater good, they're tearing it down.

Amen. He decided some of his inviolable principles were worth violating. His most blatant violation was, as a physician, to approve the nomination of RFK Jr and now kids are dying across the country of measles, which was fully eradicated 20 years ago. Fuck off, Bill.

The Grand Old Party seems to be the hiding place of choice for pedophiles, much like the Catholic Church was not so long ago. They obviously couldn't go there anymore, so the next best place apparently is the GOP. Swap out false piety for false political principles - easy, esp with the modern GOP.

Polis himself may as well be helping to defraud his own state's next election. He is neither a big D democrat nor a small d democrat. Actions speak, and evidently he'd have been right at home in Orban's Hungary. He needs to be recalled.

First of all I don't know how this person stays on TV with that voice. Second, the disingenuousness of this conversation was stunning enough, but then the idiocy of connecting lower defense spending with the ability to become socialist hotbeds really puts it over the top. Those poor fox viewers.
