strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Yeah, ungracious and weird end. I hope deeply that Aonishiki has not aggravated his toe injury. And if he has, that he decides for his long term health. 030
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 08/04/2026If the Trump Administration says one thing, they actually mean the other .. 'Iran begged for a deal' means the TA begged for a deal. 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 14/03/2026That was a very solid throw by Wakatakakage - impressed 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 14/03/2026Foot dabbed out, other side of the Gyoji's vision, outer ringed umpire sitting cross-legged put up their hand, and the Gyoji promptly decided the match. First time I've seen that so clearly. 011
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 13/03/2026I like Shõdai this Basho. I feel optimistic about his strength going forward. Hr often wilts though ... Heres hoping. 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/03/2026Oh that is hilarious ... I laughed and rewatched immediately ... 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 11/03/2026I didn't notice it at first, but that had a face slap to Wakatakakage ... I'd not noticed Aonishiki giving folks the palm ... 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 10/03/2026I have been waiting for a medical analysis of the issue, the online translations are alarming and unhelpful. If fluid buildup, the cause could be all manner of things, my father had symptoms similar, and that cause was late stage cancer and I am *sure* that Midorifuji is far too young for this. 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 10/03/2026Oooh, very good throw at the end. Atomic did well to manage to blunt two or three good throws ... 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 25/01/2026I think this is my favourite throw of the Basho. Just sensational! 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 21/01/2026Ha, that had me sniggering. Ha! The end! 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 20/01/2026That's a good match.i had to watch several times to figure out who won and how. I am so impressed at the Gyoji being able to spot and decide on that so quickly. 000

strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 17/01/2026The same result as a Henka, but it was a standard bout instead. Onya Koto! Nice! 000

strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/01/2026Kotozakura - I'd love to see him strongly compete to the end. It's a great start to the tournament so far. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/01/2026I see a leg throw that didn't finish the job, and a head lock throw that kinda finished and directed the fall, and the fall being uncontrolled, by both wrestlers, after a point, and that Aonishki had a bit more control of all that influenced the end of the bout. 120
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/01/2026That's an unfortunate bundling out if I ever saw one. Disdainful almost. 010
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/01/2026Atomic! How could you! Just miserable :( 110
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/01/2026He gave such a good solid push, and Takanoshō held up for a good while, but eventually gravity has its way. Nice bout. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 12/01/2026I so like Shõdai when he is in good form. One of my favourites! 000

strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 11/11/2025A new day #melbourne and a fresh evening. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 29/09/2025My gosh that was fantastic. I feel the best technicians this tournament was Aonishki and Hoshoru. Astounding capabilities for one so young and for not being Japanese. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 23/09/2025Nice work Ura, on Tachai, it looked even but Ura managed more momentum than Roga. Impressive. Not flashy but impressive. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 23/09/2025Beautiful throw by Midorifuji. The beautiful case of a little guy throwing a bigger guy. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 23/09/2025Poor Abi, something is not well with him, no movement, no balance. Is it his feet? Ankles? 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 23/09/2025Good work by Kotozakura, good reflexes. I think he is taking tips from Aonishki. :) Staying focussed, staying forward moving, moving fast with an opportunity when available. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 22/09/2025Oh, that was an exhausting bout. Midorifuji must be tired after that. 000
strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 22/09/2025How on earth did this happen? How did momentum change so much and so quickly? A lucky strong step on the bales allowing no slip pushback? 000

strollingeye.bsky.social @strollingeye.bsky.social · 22/07/2025Wow, just wow. I'm going to have to look at the breakdown on ChrisSumo of this bout to figure out what lead to this result. Awesome and unexpected. I feel Onksato is a little uninteresting as he is seemingly unstoppable. This is the first outplayed defeat I think I've seen not by Hoshoru. Hmm. 010
