After some hard thinking, I'm going to be taking the rest of the year off. IRL is simply too strenuous to keep up with things in this neck of the woods for the time being, plus I think I need a period to do a hard reset style and process-wise, I'm back to not being happy at all with my speed and

-the right crowd seeing the right thing at the right time (read: almost entirely luck). It's not really worth sweating over because so long as people keep seeing and signal-boosting your stuff, you'll get your day in the sun eventually.

The one big thing I've learned during my 9.5 years in this biz is that the social media numbers-game is ALWAYS going to feel bad. Some people just find their audiences/hit their big "breakout" moment faster and it's never really because of something done differently between them or others but rather

Buncha gesture/structure sketches to keep de-rusting, I *think* I'm back in the groove enough for comms to re-open now at least. Thanks again for your patience on that!

Strobe-Totem 🔞(HIATUS) @strobetotem.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

More de-rusting, although this one's kind of a cheat since I've been on-and-off with it all year already, but hey - finished crap is finished crap, plus I wanted to toy with SFX again! (reup'd because I forgot the foot and you could see the unfinished leg stump for a frame)

Going to try my hardest to de-rust before Saturday so I can reopen commissions in confidence, here's a sequel to this pic for a start!

Hey all, sorry for going dark on ya, things are going to be on-hold for a second while I try and get a pet crisis under control, no ETA right now but I'm praying this stops soon. Thank you.

I've been rubbed the wrong way by Glitch as a whole but I think it's more akin to learned distrust of almost all Youtube/Streaming stuff in recent times. It's rife with bad people especially at the top so it's easy to write off any rising stars as another MrBeast in the works or something like that.

It's high time for a new Commission/Contact Sheet, as well as some discount opportunities for the season! Be sure to read everything before inquiring, and thanks for your support!

Still looking for these, here are some from Discord first and foremost.

How it feels whenever the refs vs. no-refs discourse pops up as someone smart enough to recognize their importance but too dumb to know how/where to find good ones:

Oh yeah it was a HUGE misfire for a target audience. Torn Banner basically pulled the same thing that B4B did forgoing what their game actually was in favor of "FROM THE GUYS WHO MADE [older game]!)" which left NMRIH fans scorned as hell and extraction fans totally in the dark about the game at all.

Home inventory, permadeath, the usual stuff just without PvE of any sort last I checked. There is a free weekend up right now so at the least you can dip your toe in to see if it's what you're after. (Btw thanks for signal boosting Abiotic Factor way back, wouldn't have found that 10/10 without ya)

Strobe-Totem 🔞(HIATUS) @strobetotem.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

May I suggest No More Room in Hell 2? It's still a jarring departure from the first game but at the same time it's basically THE thing people want when they talk about a PvE-only extraction shooter.
