I haven't had any form of sedation on the two occasions I've had a colonoscopy. It's a weird sensation and a little uncomfortable at times but not at all painful, the effects of the preparatory laxatives were more uncomfortable than the actual colonoscopy.

I fixed a PC for a friend's 80 year old parents after a disk crash, they were paricularly upset that they'd lost all their photos. I managed to recover most of them but foolishly opened a few to ensure they were usable, instead of grandkid pictures I learned that age is no bar to BDSM swingers.
