There really is something about how 1) the borders make the art pop. 2) cards feel like a fantasy paperback. Aesthetic aside, the presence of so many cards that just. . . Do less is nice. Sometimes a 4/4 with just a keyword like trample or fly is refreshing. Plus mixing set mechanics is a blast.

Sadly, that was much of my own experience being taught civics. Thankfully I was a huge dork and was able to help teach my classmates at study hall. Even worse, when I got to college (before I had to withdraw)- many students hadnt been taught much of anything beyond 3 branches of government.
