Halton County Radial Railway @streetcarmuseum.bsky.social · 14/08/2026W-28 is a rail-grinder built in 1917 as Toronto Civic Railway #57. The car became TTC #2214 in 1921 and was later converted in a snow scraper, before finally becoming a rail-grinder. 1974, 1978 and 1979 photos were taken by Ron Cooper. Today W-28 is on display in our Barn #4. 010

This was about 12 years after we had first opened to the public in 1972. Before the loops, our single-ended streetcars had to reverse down the mainline! 020
