Now that Silly Block is over, time to chill and find a game to try and learn the speedrun of.

Natural History Museum X Pokemon notebook made it to Minneapolis too. I've made it into a "Memory Diary" so I will be filling this bad boys pages up during the week.

Obligatory attendee badge selfie. What makes this special is its my first ever GDQ one so I hold it in high regard.

Whilst resting, might as well tune in and then go join the festivities in a couple of hours

Waiting for SGDQ to start with a chill game

I have returned to speedrunning with a janky game, Bear No Grudge, that @sweedola.bsky.social introduced me to. Fun run btw, you should all should run it.

Tried porting over to C# WPF and it looks and feels even more responsive 👀 Not sure if I'll switch over to C# WPF version permanently, but it's a nice little experience trying it to see the difference between it and Python.

Going to try learning Expedition 33 Act 1 Unrestricted soon. Getting the hang of the Underflow/Overflow glitch is fun and rewarding.

Little preview video of progress. It froze when clicking the include uninstalled games button, but that is due to a lot of Steam API calls for my owned games. Instructions: github.com/streetbackgu... 1.3.0 Release: github.com/streetbackgu...

Decided to continue improving my program over the last few days. Cant seem to leave it alone lmao.

My latest RetroAchievement mastery hunt is going to be a doozy, but a fun one.

Check out this cool mug my co-worker got me as a gift.

Got my SGDQ submissions in. Time to wait and pray.

Don't know why, but everytime I have a look at someone running this game I think "I love sadomasochistic RNG runs, might give it a go". Haven't attempted it yet, but it's definitely on my to-do list in the future.

Helped Nikoheart with the autosplitter for this game, and since then I've been meaning to give learning the run a go. It looks pretty interesting to me.

Kinda an out of left field game, but after seeing pbb8 run the game at Instaspeedathon, it's given me the itch to maybe learn the run sometime.

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

Technically I've run one category of this game, Face Floating on Water, but I want to eventually try and learn the full game speedrun.

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

I love the Hitman series and I do want to give speedrunning this game a shot at some point.

100

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

This is sitting in my Steam library, but never actually got around to playing it casually, so maybe one day.

100

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

My favourite Pokemon game, but the thing that puts me off from trying to run it is the RNG manipulation. Otherwise, I'd be down to try this one day.

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

I think the game is pretty neat and just last year in October I finished it for the first time. Just never got around to learning the run for it.

100

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 27/03/2026

I just enjoy this game more than GTA 5 and I think the speedrun for the main game is neat, but I know I'd struggle with it lol

100

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 27/03/2026

Might as well give this a try, barring my lack of speedrun talent or patience a lot of the time.

Just 100%ed the RetroAchievements for Tony Hawks Underground and god damn was some of it frustrating, but also very satisfying lmao

Streetbackguy @streetbackguy.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

Got me a new book to enjoy today.

My birthday is next month and after so long of having a shitty small cheap desk, looking at getting a bigger desk, maybe a corner one, and this has me so excited like you wouldn't believe

I had fun making this silly little program for indecisive Steam gamers. Code here: github.com/streetbackgu...

Cutest pull in Pokemon TCG Pocket so far.

This is one of my favourite artpieces of the duo in action.

To start off with, a classic movie that pretty much gave the name "Battle Royale" to games like Fortnite, PUBG and Warzone. It's not a perfect movie by any means, but I do love it a lot and whilst the majority of the cast were underage, they give damn good performances in their roles!
