#OnThisDay Oct 7 1935: Amelia Earhart speaks at Women's City Club in St. Paul. Formed in 1921, the club valued social, cultural, and intellectual pursuits, hosting other famous speakers such as Gertrude Stein and TS Eliot. The fine building was designed in 1931 by St. Paul architect Magnus Jemne.
