i've found a way to change playback rate without preserving pitch on ios. of all things, the microsoft edge app supports the global speed extension it doesn't support browser extensions in general, either. there is a fixed list of 19 extensions, and global speed happens to be on there. crazy

it feels very narratively relevant that the best voice recordings to speed up are improvised rather than rehearsed. the disfluencies sound better and a lot of it gets smoothed out in the end. so you have to allow yourself to be Imperfect unfortunately i'm not at the part where i figure this out yet
