I enjoyed tapping the photo to find the Elvis! Tonight, I eased my lower back pushing an electric lawn mower back & forth in cool air. A small dog named Cricket (Chihuahua) came by with his 4 people and 2 other lively, lovely dogs wearing leashes like my friend Cricket. Our tongues wagged!😜 See Gus?

There's a potentially playful boop here from my best boi. You know him as the former stray on Tampa Bay landscape in October of 2019. Even though he's a veteran's most accommodating & busy companion. With a hurricane building in the Gulf he once knew, Charlie spent a few days this week hugging her!🐶

Charlie, the easy rider, after riding in a rainy night in Georgia post-hurricane had to tolerate getting a late breakfast while I sang my sexy voiced Roy Orbison song. "Anything you want, you got it. Anything you need, I've got it." That included a smear of topical flea and tick medicine. He got it!

I'm so sorry for you and this dangerous brush with COVID. I say brush because I'm hoping your vaccinations in the past give you strong resistance. I'm not optimistic about my older bones as I'm one of those veterans long ago diagnosed with something giving me, at a minimum, questionable immunity.😷

For years in the 1970s I provided care in a fairly small, locked psychiatric ward within my southern university's own hospital. Going back home doing better was a regular outcome for our patients. Then came cowboy actor Ron Reagan. Lucky for me, I had my good reasons for joining Jimmy Carter's Navy.

I theorize Top Cat pushed her smaller rival into traffic because I saw the orange & white conspicuous fluffy roadkill over there. I've seen Top Cat abandon the new kitty here.🐈

We moved her to higher ground closer to you and I'm told the house for her next to her lead daughter and handy granddaughter has a garage apartment for travels with Charlie.

Thank you and, just between you, me, and the whole Internet, I'm not taking the neighborhood's mama cat loose on the landscape. It's been depressing me that the spitting image of her is this tiny kitty that recently appeared in that same driveway location. So, I'm a heel!

One of a number of cats someone feeds in a driveway in a rural neighborhood. I think I know why the bunny rabbits fled to greener pastures.

Poised to leave for central peninsula of Florida. We're packing to take a stereo and our discovery: a storage bin we've let lie like a sleeping dog has Bonnie Raitt and the like, amounting to 100 or more compact disks. I used to buy them in the ship's store. ⚓

Charlie's snoring under his desk right now but has been known to squeak a rubber ball when he's about to toss it over to me. I don't get to handle the hippo much.

Awaiting a hurricane in Alabama I'm not going down that rabbit hole. I'll be glad all I have is ringing in my ears. On a related note, Charlie's been in a woeful place for the last 48 hours, as if he senses a Gulf hurricane has been forming. He's carrying his most comforting toys from room to room.

An ideal size bird dog mix gets the most comfort he can squeeze out of his plush toy Lamb Chops. He was stray a stray by Tampa Bay one October and his nose knows a storm is coming.

The adult me, out of respect for profs & classmates, is taking a couple diplomas from good graduate schools off these walls in southeast Alabama and maybe the spare stereo receiver plus speakers go inside the cargo hatch for our flight. My dad served in Saudi Arabia during the middle of the last century, probably Air Force task force duty geared to war that never really ended on the Korean Peninsula. He brought home black and white photos of public executions and cut off hands, etc. Emphasis clearly on making examples of someone.😤
