One of the pullets (Shepherd) made a nest in the weeds then abandoned it when we moved it. Put the 18(!!) eggs in the incubator; they were tiny & I'm like "Bantams!" Turns out it don't work that way; size means nothing. Candle them: uh oh, all live. 7a this morning, they start hatching. Fuck.

Baby chicks omfg go back in the eggs I can't do thus again this year. 4 hatched so far, and I expect a good number more over the next 20-40 hours.
