Time to make cereal, and watch Saturday morning cartoons. It's X-men 97 Season 2 day! :D Woo! (Followed by some My Adventures with Superman S3 episodes I've been saving).

Classic 90s era x-men using their cartoon designs coming towards the screen in action poses. Includes a "X-men '97" title at the top.

A grey-and white tabby on it's back in a position only a cat spine can make comfortable. Still cute tho.

Been reading Blades '68 and can I say I'm way more impressed than I thought I'd be! There is a ridiculous amount of GM support here, and it takes some conceits that I might do by instinct when running games and polishes them up and puts them in easily digestible steps, in really interesting ways.

This brings me joy. I'm not sure if you know, but the original Monster Manuals for D&D were all 3-ring binders. And you'd just add new monsters to them periodically.

My friend grinning wildly over finding some old monster manual 3-ring binders in our outing to a used bookstore. Pointing to an entry for a Kraken.

Somehow I'm not super shocked where I fall! This is a cool site (bluesky-map.theo.io) as much for seeing where you fall in clusters of interest, as to see which groups are close/related. Color me surprised that football (aka soccer) is so close to the TTRPG space — I wonder where the overlap is?

Zoomed in pic of the website which looks like a cloud map. This one is TTRPG Creators & Community, where the user is just up and left of the middle.

It's also got a flexible form factor. You can tell a four hour epic, or shrink it down. I've played it with a dice ring (below) in a long supermarket line.

I love the way every player picks a piece of art as an inspiration (I still have a folder online just for this!) called an Eidolon. The artists they have on deck to make Eidolons for the KS (Goran, Shel, Jabari) are absolutely incredible. I have Shel's art hanging on my wall right next to my desk.

Apparently I'm a death wizard (notably not a necromancer)? I can work with that. It's not entirely off-brand for me.

It me.

A meme with two images. The first is an image of a city on fire with an apocalyptic blaze labeled "The World:". The second is a pic of Will Farell yelling "DO YOU NEED ANY..." with "RPGs?" clearly edited in at the end.

Ok. Can we take just a minute to talk about how awesome X-Men '97 is? This show is INCREDIBLY good and it does something that I haven't seen often. In the midst of 100 reboots, rewrites, and restarts it boldly just continues the original series while updating things for modern audiences. 1/🧵

Pic of (sadly) healthy cereal with some (oat) milk and a spoon.

Got that good jab this weekend! The new COVID booster formulation is out, so I snagged one. Getting ready to fly out to my first convention since 2020.

Across the Spider-Verse just hit streaming, and boy was I excited to watch it last night! It's a minor miracle—but somehow I managed to not get spoiled! (I know, I know, I'm one of those folks who still isn't hitting theaters) It was pretty incredible.
