Last night after the update, i no longer witnessed a noticeable decompression from eye movement no'r nearly as much compression aroung hazy dark areas. I can really start to appreciate the oled panels. Apparently too much as the galaxy warns me im too close lmao.

The virtual desktop dev pushed a update that fixed my concerns here somewhat. There was a bug with eyetracking that was recently patched that fixed eyetracking from breaking if you turned 180 degrees from the headset startup. In turn to fixing eye tracking, it also fixed foveated streaming.

the galaxy tongue tracking is kinda goated, i'll keep using this headset for now, i am getting some counter weights for the galaxy to help with distribution and sagging from the front (why a battery should be on the back of a standalone ngl.)

from trying out the new tongue tracking module for rooted quest pro, i found with a quick calibration it's slightly better than a babble tracker (which is not saying much). however i should add that i did not do the full 50 minute dataset calibration process (yes it's 50 minutes).

thoughts on streaming compression seeming worse on galaxy xr is that not that there is more compression, but that i can see more compression specifically in dark environments due to the oled panels. this all would of been greyed out in the qpro and unnoticable. it's unfortunate, but understandable.
