I love how people keep saying "pick up a pencil", but most of my best art happens when I skip pencil and go straight to pen. Just put ink right on the paper and roll with my mistakes. I make a ton of mistakes because of this but I also make vibes that would be lost if I was careful and meticulous.

a local hike I like has some owls roosting in it, and when I pass through there at night I make a little vocalization so they know I'm not trying to sneak up on them. today I forgot and one swooped down and clawed my head. Just a light tap, no damage, but it was like "don't forget the noise, bitch"
