StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 09/10/2026So odd coincidence, I'm playing Life is Strange Before the Storm and went to check the weather just now and see news of tropical storm Rachel headed toward the west coast. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 08/10/2026This movie might just be the perfect film to watch from a high quality cam recording. The marginal lofi quality that entails and simple fact of being pirated feel really in the spirit of Johnny Silverhand. 050
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 06/10/2026One of those “perks” of being in your 30s (I’m pretty sure we’re around the same age) is the slower healing factor. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Still need to make one of these My 9 Games for the current gen. But here are 4 separate lists from 4th gen (16 bit era) to 8th gen 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 05/10/2026In any case, I bought these all on the Switch which my wife also uses for Animal Crossing still; so my side game right now is going to be Death Stranding. I really wanted something more walking sim but it’s the closest I’ve got. Never finished it before, will be good to do so now. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Never played Before the Storm or any of the sequels outside of Captain Spirit so I’m excited to see how the rest of them compare. 100
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Life is Strange 1 replay complete. Still an incredible game all these years later but boy howdy its age shows now. It hasn’t exactly aged poorly but it’s not great. The dialogue in particular is very of its time and amped up to 11. I remember it being kind of cringe then but it definitely is now. 100
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Atreus was also modeled after his actor, Sunny Suljic. He maybe isn’t as known as Deborah Ann Woll, but Laufey isn’t actually the only character like that. 110
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Kinda want to do the my 9 games thing but separate lists for either each console or generation at the least. So many games have had an influence on my tastes in media it’s difficult to stop at just 9 across the nearing 4 decades of games I have enjoyed. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 24/09/2026My 9 games. Much harder choices to make for me with this. Wanted to reflect as many generations as I could but honestly there’s just too many games that are important to me. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Which makes the play for Kojima and Physint extra baffling. They clearly have some weird plan for everything but it feels like a huge clusterfuck. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I guess I’ll post one of these too, my 9 anime not in any particular order 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I guess for the group dynamics, I see you are looking for arm poses, not much help in that regard 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Might not be exactly the same but rondo drills in soccer involves keeping the ball away from a player in the middle, more references of adults playing that specifically 110
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 16/09/2026But realizing I would spend extra time not really enjoying the game but just doing something for the sake of silly points clicked something in my brain. I appreciate more now what Nintendo seems to have known all along, it’s all about the games and not the extra side stuff. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 16/09/2026The remaster has a “collectible” mode where you can replay an episode to get missed moments without affecting your overall story. My immediate thought was “oh cool I can make sure I didn’t miss anything for the trophy.” Which of course doesn’t exist on Switch anyway. 100
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I used to wish that Nintendo would adopt a trophy/achievement system of their own. Playing through Life is Strange though I realize I don’t actually want that. 100
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Next on my to play list is a replay of Life is Strange 1 in anticipation of moving to Oregon, before finally playing some of the follow up games. Got Before the Storm and LiS 2 both queued up next. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I did not care for the ending(s) of Divinity Original Sin 2. Not to spoil anything but for me it was a lot of “all for naught.” With the ending I ultimately stuck with at least, it felt like the best overall outcome. I felt similarly, not quite as much though, about Baldur’s Gate 3 endings. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Man, I already thought this guy was one of the coolest things happening in politics but this no joke cements it for me, I want someone like him to represent me too. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I hope your internet gets its shit together for your sake. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 14/09/2026It’s so fucking outrageous that this is where we are today. It’s why I still insist on using a separate device, though I’ve seen concerns that the TVs may still be able to do things with open networks nearby. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 12/09/2026New StarCraft game in 2030, part of me wonders if that is a hopeful bet that gaming hardware will be back to normal prices by then. Otherwise we’re all gonna be running on bare minimum specs if at all. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Maybe coincidence but lexapros half life means about 6 to 7 days for it to totally clear from the body. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 08/09/2026And of course we get pirate Tetra, absolute peak design. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 08/09/2026And sadly it seems there are fewer of these types of people everyday and we are seeing the slow decline of truly bespoke craftsmanship. And in this case craftsmanship extends to practically anything that those types of guys work with. 011
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 06/09/2026As a major introvert I love extroverts because they will often come up to me and talk first and I definitely need that in my life. I would probably have no friends otherwise. 030
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I do the same thing but for diagetic music/sound design. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Looks like someone found the second edition and beat me to it. I figured it was there too somewhere but it eluded me. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Found an uploaded copy of the DSM-III on archive, it’s from 1980 so may still be applicable for you. archive.org/details/diag...archive.orgDiagnostic and statistical manual of mental disordersEdition of 1968 prepared by the Committee on Nomenclature and Statistics of the American Psychiatric Association 130
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Saw this dude appeared on shelves at Target recently too. My wife did not understand my excitement. 020
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 03/08/2026In personal life news, my wife got a job offer in Portland Oregon and we are so excited to get out of Arizona and make our way to the Pacific Northwest. It’s something we’ve been dreaming about because it’s where we want to raise our son. Somewhere with real seasonal changes. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Put FF Tactics down after feeling burned out on it. Played through Blue Prince for the first time. Got to the final room by day 26 in the game. Very cool game, very fun, a lot left to explore and discover. That said, I feel satisfied with what I got, and am starting up Divinity Original Sin 2. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 31/07/2026I love that you post your music picks so often. There is so much overlap with my own tastes that whenever you post something I haven’t heard of I immediately check it out because I know I’m gonna like it. Thanks 😊 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 24/07/2026After watching Secret World of Arrietty recently I really loved some of the fun details like the little red clothespin style clip she uses in her hair. So I decided to 3D print one for my wife. Didn’t design it, but rather modified a file to better match the movie, I think it turned out nice. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Recently started playing through Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles. Super cool game, interesting story, but a little bit of a slog to get through. That’s more on me though wanting something with more exploration in it. About halfway through Chapter 4 currently. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 22/07/2026I know traveling out of their city isn’t possible for everyone but this site is really great for finding areas with little to no light pollution. darksitefinder.comdarksitefinder.comDark Site Finder – Light Pollution Maps 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 21/07/2026😭I just wanted some peach rings, I hadn’t had them in ages, but Arizona summer had other plans 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I don’t typically follow the trendy things to do these days but as someone who loves cameras and photography I couldn’t help but pick up a Kodak Charmera. I hadn’t seen one available before now. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Watched The Secret World of Arrietty for the first time recently. I quite enjoyed it. Reading about it I’m learning there is a different dub that was made for the UK with Saoirse Ronan and now I need to find a Blu-ray of that version. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Not to mention a lot of it is contingent on my wife securing a job, she’s the breadwinner in our household these days so we’ll go where she can find work. 000
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Selling our house and subsequently finding a new one is such a daunting task though. 100
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Wife and I never really intended to raise our son in Arizona after he was born. But we also didn’t want to attempt the move with a newborn. He’s already gonna be 2 this year, and we have started planning how to move to the PNW finally. 100
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Clearly not enough people have been up through even just like Gig Harbor and Port Orchard area where I saw plenty of R flags when I last visited. 010
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 20/05/2026I just finished Wizard of Earthsea for my first time a few days ago, need to pick up the rest of the series now, it was really special and I need more. 050
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 18/05/2026I don’t know if you’d want to, but man, I’d vote for you in a heartbeat for presidency if you ever ran. Getting Tim as running mate would just be the cherry on top. I want a president who forms complete sentences and speaks like a respectable human being again. 020
StrangeBum @strangebum.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Wrapped up spring semester today, being in school again in my 30s has been scary but very rewarding. Having a toddler makes the homework tougher but in the end I hope he has a better life from my doing it. 010
