Most deranged intro to a job listing I’ve ever seen

Do you want to spend your days covered in hair and toenails? Do you love playing with blood and urine? Are you looking for laughter, a fun, family-oriented, and collaborative team environment? Most importantly, do you want to make a difference in the lives of animals and their
pet parents?

I appreciate y'all so much! I'd like to think that I am now entering the beginning of my comeback era on youtube (even with the new increased view count, its still consistently ranked in the top 3 out of last 10 videos, really amazing!)

My latest upload, Downtime in Mario Speedruns, achieving over 5,000 views in the first 8 hours!

still thinking about how when I briefly tried TikTok I reached some notable form of virality within 10 days, kinda a flex I still sometimes wonder if it would've been worth it to explore short form content more...not sure. It's been hard for me to justify.

A screenshot of my first dozen tiktoks. The first was a test upload in 2021, but the rest were done all within the same 2 week time frame in early 2023.

An email follow up that says: "Quick Question? Thoughts?

Best,

As a follow up to:

"Hey Storster, I sacrificed the touch of a woman to master complex video editing softwares, so I could help creators and businesses build their unique brands and audience through visual storytelling, and I want to edit one of your videos for free to prove we're good. Worth giving 30 seconds of your time for my sacrifice? Emily"

Black Flame - Gretchen Felker-Martin Horror about a repressed queer film archivist. I finished in a day cause it really kept me hooked, but be warned it gets quite dark. Huge warning for the heavy themes like SA if that's not for you! For sure gets a bit mindfucky really quick at times.

To Be Taught, If Fortunate - Becky Chambers Read this while waiting for Wayfarers #2. Sci-fi novella that takes place in the late 21st century. Has astronauts exploring new life on undiscovered planets, really neat. Chambers has this genre on lock and I'm so excited to keep reading more!

Hull by Xandria Phillips Another poetry collection, always a nice palate cleanser after some denser reads! My poetry posts are never as in-depth cause I feel like it's harder for me to sum up vs traditional books. This is great poetry from a black queer author - check it out!

The Long Way to A Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers A scifi novel that is very focused on world building and dialog. When done well that's great, and I'm happy that's the case here! Also is very inherently queer. Is a first book out of four total, and I'm eager to read the rest now!

Gross - YouTube now has an option to let people make AI "remixes" of your videos. This was enabled WITHOUT my permission on my ENTIRE catalog. Fortunately you can change this option with multiple videos at once via studio, but I shouldn't have to constantly worry about this BS to begin with.

Black on Both Sides: A Racial History of Trans Identity - C. Riley Snorton A very academic essay type of book on how trans and black struggles intersect. As expected with something like this, is a very dense read but recommend if you’d like to brush up your knowledge a bit in this area.

Freshwater - Akwaeke Emezi Really dark, yet great novel that dives into experiencing plurality from a very spiritual angle. I could definitely relate to some broader aspects of it (don’t really talk about it publicly but I’m plural) Big warning for topics like SA, but if you can handle it, read it

The Last Girl Scout - Natalie Ironside Wanted to say it’s an amazing book, but it’s okay at best. Romance went from 0 to 100 with 0 build up/tension. The dialog between main characters is also very one dimensional, and many typos threw me off Only finished cause it’s trans lesbians defeating nazis

Nevada - Imogen Binnie Saw many places labeling this as a must read trans book, so I bit…and especially for it being from 2012, I can see why. Can be a tough read at times, the main characters are very flawed…but because of that I also see bits of my younger less mature self in them.

A Fractured Infinity by Nathan Tavares This is a queer scifi novel about alternate universes that I fully read in one day, I couldn't stop. It's so gay, it's awesome! It may be a MLM relationship, but I was still able to relate to many of their actions. I shed a couple tears during this one.
