This is not as scary or as thrilling as the first film. The puppet art was fantastic, but the story is uneven, and the social commentary was not subtle. The physical evolution into Candyman and the acting are great, but the characters' choices don't feel natural, leaving the film with plot holes.

Recent watch history is a wild ride from pure B-movie chaos to top-tier thrillers. Strange Darling was a ride, but Back From Hell? Yeah... one star might have been generous. #FilmTwitter #Letterboxd #HorrorCommunity

While I enjoyed this film, it is overrated. Breaking it down into chapters seemed unnecessary. Wilma Fitzgerald is impeccable, the concept was interesting, the heavy synth soundtrack was perfect, and the cinematography is cool. I can't explain why it didn't connect with me more. #HorrorMovies

Shockingly so bad, they're good, and the lifting of scenes from Aliens is amusing. The acting is bad, apart from the always marvellous Gerreta Geretta. #HorrorMovies #SciFiHorror #GrindhouseCinema #ItalianHorror #LowBudgetHorror #CreatureFeature #MonsterFilm #RetroHorror

One year single. One #AutumnEquinox. Yesterday’s ritual was a gentle reminder that shedding leaves isn't an ending; it's just making room for the next bloom. Balance restored, lessons harvested, onwards into the dark half of the year feeling grounded and ready. #Equinox #SelfLoveJourney

This is certainly better than I expected; the concept is what carried this film. However, the writing was still a letdown. The effects were fine, but the acting was terrible. #HorrorMovies #NatureHorror

Extremely short, concise and suspenseful; no subplot padding needed here. Joel McCray may be stiff for modern eyes, but his acting would have been the norm for the time. The set design is masterful, and the cinematography is stunning, especially the waterfall scene. #HorrorMovies

Old-fashioned? Yes. Still lots of fun? Also, yes. Of course, our horror icons give superb performances, highlighting the weak acting of everyone else. Some of the twists are silly, and they nearly take me out of the film. The house is impressive, and the constant rain brings the atmosphere.

This film has bad dubbing and improvised dialogue. It is all so absurd, and not in a good way. Most of the love went to the costumes and special effects, which are surprisingly good for a clearly low-budget film. #HorrorMovies #IndieHorror

Book 44 - The Wild by #WhitleyStrieber. Despite this being a "werewolf" book, it is not a horror book; it is more of a psychological drama, poetic prose and social commentary. It was meh! However, it is clear that Strieber researched the wolf hierarchy, and I respect him for that. #HorrorFiction

"Bad Film Night" was a total flop. The food was a massive hit (chilli, garlic cheese beer bread, and apple crumble), but Stagefright completely failed to be bad. It’s a gorgeous, top-tier slasher with brutal deaths and zero cinematic sins. #BadFilmNightFail #CultHorror #SlasherFilm
