When you visit your friend's place and they didn't tell you they have a roommate... --- A quick rough animation for myself between projects! :) Not done yet! But I think it's neat to see how artists build up their shots, so have a WIP! :D --- (Audio clip borrowed from Atlantis.)

(1/3) "For my 10 000th day alive, I visited an off-grid cabin in the cedar woods" in the hopes of seeing the stars the way people 10 000 years ago did - free of light pollution. A dense blanket of fog and storm clouds had other plans, unfortunately.

Colour scripts vs final comic pages :) I think my biggest artsy-win here was learning how to confidently colour pick for BGs without relying on layer blending modes. Having full control over colour & saturation (and the absence of them) was one of my main goals when starting 🧡

📽️🎞️Some WIP stages for scene 1/5! I like to add shaded patches to my roughs to help track body markings. I think it's easier to notice small volume shifts *before* Clean-Up this way, and stay oriented when pieces overlap (such as Lark's wings during the shake!).
