Our Kop stone is considerably more under control than we are. 😂 We wanted to make sure everyone in the WTS would feel comfortable taking a photo with it, so we kept the thirst off the stone and went with something that belongs to all of us. Classy Kop stone. Thirsty hearts. 🐉⚽🐉 #WxmThirstSection

Your Wrexham v Southampton Thirst Section MOTM. 🔥 🏆 Jacques Ekomié Top of the vote, arms up telling everyone to stay calm, while the that footballer build makes that instruction completely impossible to follow. WTS composure: 404 Not Found #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Our MOTM is caught mid-gesture with his whole upper body doing that infuriatingly composed athlete thing. Torso upright, shoulders set broad and slightly rotated, both arms extended out in front of him with the elbows softly bent. One forearm sits almost horizontal while the other reaches higher, palms open, fingers spread, as though he is physically trying to tell everyone to calm down while possessing exactly the build least conducive to anyone doing so.

And those arms. The fit of the short sleeves leave the shoulders and upper arms open to scrutiny, with the biceps and triceps visibly engaged just from holding the gesture. The taped wrist only adds to the footballer-at-work evidence file. His head turns into the movement rather than toward the camera, chin tucked slightly, so the whole thing reads focused and deliberate rather than posed.

Then the kit gets involved. The shirt hangs relatively loose through the torso, but the shorts have substantially less room for diplomacy. His weight is settled through one leg while the other comes forward, which loads the thighs differently and makes the muscle structure very obvious: one quad carrying the body, the other advancing underneath him. There is nothing static about it. Even while apparently asking for calm, his lower body is still walking through the moment.

Which means the Thirst Section has been presented with a man making a "steady, everyone" gesture while the shoulders, arms and thighs are submitting entirely contradictory instructions.

Sir.

We have just won.

Nobody was steady to begin with. Nobody is steady now.

And now you have raised both arms like you personally intend to relieve the cardiovascular emergency.

MOTM on the pitch, MOTM in the vote, and apparently MOTM of telling WTS to calm down while actively preventing it. 🔥🔥🔥

Your Wrexham v Burnley Thirst Section podium. 🔥 🏆 Jacques Ekomié 🥈 Issa Kaboré & Callum Doyle 🥉 Sam Smith plus 3 write-ins for glorious chaos Equaliser headed home, scuba deployed in the rain, and WTS cardiovascular services overwhelmed. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Thirsties, the scuba celly has arrived and it was catastrophically effective. He was caught mid-motion, body angled forward, torso pitched into the celebration, shoulders slightly rolled in, chest carried over his hips as the whole frame followed the line of that extended right arm. One hand came up to the face for the scuba detail, the other reached forward to complete the bit, and suddenly this was a full-body performance.

The red shirt clung to the movement, showing the bend through the upper body and the tension in the arms and shoulders, while the rain somehow made the whole thing even more outrageous.

And the lower half was working just as hard. The white shorts sat over fully engaged thighs, one leg stepping through while the other trailed behind on the toe, calves taut, balance held in that perfect split second between stride and pose. Hips drove the motion forward, knees stayed active, and the whole stance had that unmistakable footballer quality of looking loose and powerfully controlled at once.

Nothing about it was static. Even frozen in a photo, you can still feel the momentum: wet turf under the boots, the follow-through of the celebration, the body still humming with adrenaline.

Which means the Thirst Section was never going to survive this. The kit was already under enough pressure without adding rain, muscle engagement, and a themed celly with committed arm work. Red shirt, white shorts, thighs engaged, calves working, torso pitched forward, arms fully committed to the scuba.

Result: elevated heart rate, collapsed decorum, and several Thirsties requiring immediate assistance back to baseline.

Celebratory? Yes. Subtle? Absolutely not. Devastating? Beyond dispute. 🔥

Your Millwall v Wrexham Thirst Section podium is officially in. 🔥 🏆 Jacques Ekomié 🥈 Josh Windass and Matty James 🥉 Kieffer Moore Three goals, one clean sheet, a knee-slide for the archives, and WTS composure left somewhere in London. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Thirsties, this one was absolute cinema. He was caught mid-knee-slide, body arched back in full celebration, chest lifted to the sky like the moment physically could not be contained. One hand was flung up to his ear, mouth wide open in a roar, and the whole pose had that glorious split-second mix of power, release, and pure "are you not entertained?" energy.

The red shirt was stretched clean across his torso as he leaned back, every line of the movement visible through the twist and extension of the celebration. Shoulders opened, core engaged, neck taut, the whole upper body committed to the drama of it. Nothing about this was static. It was all motion, all force, all adrenaline. A goal celebration with absolutely no interest in subtlety.

And then the lower half joined the performance. Those white shorts and socks were doing the Lord’s work while he slid across the turf on both knees, thighs engaged, hips driving forward, legs folded underneath him in that wonderfully theatrical footballer collapse into glory. The shine on the legs, the grass contact, the grounded power of the slide — it all made the image feel even more physical, like you could practically hear the roar and the scrape of the turf.

In short: this was not just a celebration. This was a full-body event. A red-and-white missile of joy, confidence, and beautifully committed athletic drama. The Thirst Section did not stand a chance. 🔥

Your Wrexham v Birmingham City Thirst Section podium is officially in. 🔥 🏆 Callum Doyle 🥈 Lewis O’Brien 🥉 Ollie Rathbone Equaliser buried, danger supplied, midfield menace deployed. WTS composure did not survive. Not the result we wanted. We go again. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Thirsties, the photographer has caught him mid-applause, still carrying the match in his body. Shoulders set, chest lifted, forearms working as his hands come together, the long sleeves somehow making the whole thing look even more unfairly put-together. There’s nothing posed about it. He’s walking, clapping, breathing hard, hair damp and pushed back, face still wearing that post-match concentration. The athleticism is doing all the talking.

And then we get to the lower half. Those white shorts are revealing exactly how much work has gone through the legs: thighs still engaged as he strides forward, one knee driving through, weight shifting onto the other leg, the whole frame caught between steps rather than politely standing still for the camera. Lean, balanced, compact, strong. Very much a body that has spent the evening tackling, carrying, covering ground and then casually wandering over to acknowledge the crowd as though the Thirst Section possesses normal blood pressure.

The applause is supposed to be for the supporters. Unfortunately, the visual evidence has reversed the transaction. We are now applauding him. Respectfully. Loudly. With absolutely no expectation of recovering our composure tonight. 🔥🥵

Thirsties, Danny Imray has entered the frame and apparently taken everyone’s composure with him. 🔥 #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Thirsties, somebody needs to explain why Imray has been photographed doing something as innocent as chasing a football and somehow produced a full-body emergency.

Look at the positioning. Left leg planted and loaded, thigh doing an frankly unreasonable amount of work, right leg kicked back mid-stride, hips turning through the movement while his torso twists above them. That red shirt is stretched across the chest and pulled in at the waist, the tattooed arm is raised for balance, and the other hand drops casually by the hip as though none of this is causing difficulties for the viewing public.

And that’s the killer: he isn’t posing. He isn’t flexing. He isn’t even looking at the camera. He’s just completely absorbed in the chase while every line of his body is caught in motion: broad shoulders, tight waist, powerful legs, all balance and controlled acceleration.

So yes, Thirsties, enlarge the photo. Study the biomechanics. Develop a sudden scholarly interest in thigh engagement. Tell yourselves you’re analysing his centre of gravity while returning to the same image for the seventeenth time.

Imray is simply moving through midfield.

And our hearts, beautifully. 🔥

Podium locked in. 👑 Matty James 🥈 Josh Windass 🥉 Issa Kaboré James ran the middle like everything had to go through him. Windass stepped up and hit it clean when it mattered. Kaboré flew down the side and put it exactly where it needed to be. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC
The camera catches Matty James mid-flight, body twisted just enough to keep everything balanced and under him.

One leg lifted high, boot looking to cushion the ball like it’s been invited to dance. At first, the touch is soft and controlled. But you know that the rest of him is anything but. 🫦

Thigh flexed, calf tight, everything through that leg doing work just to hold the moment still. Upper body leaning in, shoulders engaged, shirt pulling across the chest and arms as he braces for what’s coming next. You can see the tension in it, not intentionally posed, just held together through movement. Arms slightly out for balance. Core locked, hips turned, already setting up the next move before this one’s even finished.

And then the focus. Head slightly down, eyes fixed on the ball, nothing else existing for that second. He knows the defender's right in front of him but that just means the next action’s coming quicker.

It’s control like he’s about to do something with it immediately. Everything in that frame is loaded and then the ball's just gone.

👑 MAN OF THE MATCH: OLLIE RATHBONE He levels it… and then sprints straight into a photoshoot he definitely didn’t sign up for. Mid-stride, full effort, shirt hanging on for dear life. Unsurprisingly, the section behaved exactly how you’d expect. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC
Oliver Michael Rathbone. Mid-stride and fully committed body leaning forward eagerly. This is where we all want to be the ball he's chasing.

Shirt clinging across the chest and shoulders, fabric pulled tight from the sprint, every movement stretching it just enough to show the work underneath. Arms pumping, forearms tense, hands hands half-clenched like he’s ready to drive straight through the next challenger.

Quads doing most of the talking here with one leg driving down toward the turf, the other lifting through, calves tight, socks dragged low just enough to make it look deliberate. Studs having just kissed the grass, caught right in that moment between steps.

Hair pushed back but starting to fall forward again, sweat already in it, face locked in with an expression that is fully dialled in on what’s in front of him.

He’s mid-run, mid-game, and looks like he could just keep going straight through you if you got in his way. And, oh Ollie, we ain't gonna move.

👑 MAN OF THE MATCH: DANNY WARD

Hands together, tape wrapped, just clapping it out like it’s another day… but you know what’s just happened. We're back in it. We're daring to believe. Again.

Everything’s been coming at him.
Crosses, headers, shots through bodies. All of it.

And he’s just stood there taking it, dealing with it, not making a thing of it.

Those socks pulled high as ever, yeah, the slutty little thigh-highs made an appearance, planted in the middle of it all while everything’s flying in.

There’s no big celebration in it. No chest out, no roaring.

Just that look of: job's done.

Because when it’s like that, constant, messy, dropping everywhere, someone has to hold it.

And today, it was him.

Your #WTSMOTM Danny Ward.

Mid-stride and absolutely built for it.

Ball just ahead, left foot ready to take it, right leg driving through. Everything about the movement shows control. Quads doing the work, calves engaged, that clean push off the turf where the whole lower body is firing properly.

Shorts riding slightly with the stride, legs fully on show, muscle switching on and off with each step, nothing soft about it. Just that kind of movement where power and control are happening at the same time.

Upper body tight and steady, shoulders set, arms locked in just enough to balance. Shirt pulling across the chest and back as he moves, fabric stretched where it needs to be. You can see the structure of it, not exaggerated, just solid and functional.

There’s weight behind every step, but it’s controlled. No scramble. No wasted motion.

Ball stays close because everything else is doing its job.

It’s proper athletic movement, the kind that looks good because it does the necessary work.

And yeah… when it looks like that, The Section are going to notice.

Five years ago Wrexham were fighting to even exist. Three years ago we were in non-league. Now we’re hurting because we got spanked in the Championship. Perspective doesn’t fix things. But it does fucking matter. It really does. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC
🔥 MOTM — JOSH WINDASS

There’s just something about him, isn’t there.

That slightly upright, almost casual stance like he’s not even trying that hard, but still ends up being the most dangerous man on the pitch. Shoulders relaxed, chest open, that quiet confidence of someone who knows he’s got something.

Kit never quite sits normally on him either. Slutty white shorts clinging just enough after 90 minutes. Not pristine, not messy. Just worked. Shirt sleeves riding up a bit, showing those forearms that look like they’ve spent the entire match scrapping, holding off defenders, winning little battles no one else notices.

And the movement? That’s the real hook.
Not frantic. Not rushed. Just smooth. Gliding into pockets, turning at the right moment, always half a step ahead like he’s already seen what’s about to happen.

There’s a bit of edge to it to.
That look when he scores, not over the top, not screaming. Just a little nod, a little "well, yeah, obviously."

Main character energy without needing to shout about it.

Even today, in a game that got away from us, he still looked like the one player who might just drag something out of nothing. And honestly? That’s half the reason the votes pile in.

Because when everything else is chaos…
he still looks composed.

And yeah, let’s be honest, that helps.

That forward lean isn’t accidental, it’s momentum driving through him, like he’s already halfway into the next action before anyone else has processed the last one. Arms out wide, palms up, part celebration, part “are you not entertained?”, part WTAF. Just owning the moment.

And physically? Built exactly how you’d want for that role. Thick through the legs. Thighs doing serious work, properly loaded from constant tackles, presses, second balls. Calves tight and defined, holding that balance as he pushes off the turf. That planted foot is doing all the stabilising while the other’s mid-swing, studs just off the ground. It’s controlled aggression in motion.

Core engaged the whole time. You can see it in how upright he stays even while moving at pace. No flailing, no wasted movement. Everything’s compact, efficient, purposeful. Upper body slightly twisted as he gestures, which just adds to that sense of tension and energy, like he could snap straight back into a sprint or a challenge in a heartbeat.

And the face? Mouth open, shouting, not just celebrating, commanding. That’s a man who’s dictated the tempo, thrown himself into everything, dodging a booking for his troubles, and still has the energy to demand more.

Hair tied back, shirt stretched across the frame of him, socks dragged tight over calves that have absolutely been through it. It’s not polished, it’s not pretty…

…it’s relentless.

MOTM not because he was flashy because he was everywhere, all at once, and impossible to ignore.

Happy Friday Thirsties! While I’m not particularly a fan of the Elliot man bun, I will say that I give this look my approval 10000% #WxmThirstSection
Doncaster Rovers player Elliot Lee leans forward, looking down, wearing a red and blue team shirt. His thick, dark brown hair hangs over his eyes in a sexy, messy way.

Wrexham leave with all three points. Windass cancels out the early blow, Smith buries the winner via Kaboré's assist, and Okonkwo turns into an actual brick wall when it matters. Your 03/21 #WTSMOTM with 21.7% of the vote is 👑ISSA KABORÉ👑 #WxmThirstSection #WxmAFC #WrexhamAFC #AltText
Look at the build. This isn’t just "fit footballer," this is engineered for his role. The legs do most of the talking: quads properly carved from all those repeated sprints up and down the flank, calves tight and spring-loaded like he could explode past a full-back at any second. There’s nothing wasted there. Every bit of muscle looks like it has a job and is currently doing it better than your entire defence.

The stride is the giveaway. Long, smooth, economical. He’s covering ground without looking like he’s even trying. That’s the scary bit. Some players sprint; he just opens up and suddenly he’s gone.

Upper body? Lean but strong. Shoulders set, arms relaxed but balanced. That kind of control where he can ride a challenge without breaking rhythm. You’re not knocking him off the ball unless you’re ready for a fight you’re probably losing.

And the way he carries himself in that moment, head slightly forward, locked in, it’s all intent. No panic, no rush. Just I’m taking this exactly where I want it to go.

Add in the composure he showed for the assist and suddenly it all makes sense: this isn’t just athleticism, it’s control + power + confidence all stitched together.

Basically: built like a sprinter, moves like a winger, plays like a massive problem for the opposing team.

Your #WTSMOTM for Watford vs Wrexham is Max Cleworth! Because when the night is grim, a centre-back thundering home a header is basically romance. #WxmThirstSection #WxmAFC #WrexhamAFC
There he is. Max Cleworth. Composed, unbothered, casually carrying both the ball and the emotional weight of the entire evening like it’s just another Tuesday.

Look at the posture: upright, balanced, scanning the pitch with that quiet, calculating calm. Not a man chasing the game. A man working it. The kind of centre-back who doesn’t panic, doesn’t rush, just glides forward like he’s already decided how this passage ends and everyone else is merely catching up.

Sleeves tight on the arms, socks pulled just so, boots kissing the turf; there’s a cleanliness to it. No chaos, no flailing. Just smooth, deliberate movement. You can practically hear the internal monologue: yes, I’ll step in here… yes, I’ll carry this twenty yards… yes, I will also score later, thank you very much.

And then the face: focused, slightly intense, the kind of expression that says he’s thinking about positioning, angles, timing… but could just as easily be thinking about absolutely nothing at all. Dangerous ambiguity. Elite trait.

This is defender thirst at its peak: control, composure, and the quiet confidence of a man who knows he’s about to win his duel, his header, and, apparently, your vote.

Max Cleworth. Centre-back. Goal scorer. Thirst generator.
