I don't think LLMs are conscious but I do think (and I don't know if there have been studies on this or if this has been verified, it is just something I think is likely) people who regularly use LLMs and also frequently behave extremely abusively to LLMs are more likely to be dicks to humans too

Having grown up in Wales, I can testify that if you are actually worried about your culture and history being under threat, the thing to do is write poetry and songs, perform plays, tell stories and organise festivals, not just sit around whining.

Year 14 of Her Reign as the Queen. She dropped the "demon" part after 7 years. It hardly reinforced loyalty. The city's first great project bears completion: a massive water purification system. There was some dissent among her followers at the notion. It was very predictable.
