It is infact the first time in years that we've seen anything in the IL-2 series attempt to tackle its AI in any meaningful way. Legendary aircraft developer, A2A Simulations, has revealed that they are entering into the final stretch ahead of a release of their Accu-Sim Legacy RG550. Some of you may be surprised to know that I'm a big fan of the Ace Combat series. I didn't jump into it until much later in the series' history, but I've played the last few titles and I revisit it from time to time when I'm feeling like playing something a little more casual than my usual combat flight simulation title.

I've heard lots of great things about the FSReborn Piper M500 from readers of the blog so when I heard that the MSFS 2024 exclusive M600 from the same developer was coming as Expert Series 02 from Microsoft, I was pretty psyched! One of DCS World's most prolific server groups is who have grown to host 30 DCS World focused servers with their own custom missions and architecture. For a variety of reasons, the server group has announced that they are shutting down in November. Here's what you need to know. We're learning about some big changes to the artificial intelligence in Korea IL-2 Series as well as some other planned updates coming in 1.004. Let's have a look! The changes that are coming soon... and a bit further out We've learned a fair bit about what AI changes are coming for IL-2 Series. The Korean War focused sim has launched to positive acclaim on most features except for the AI which has shown to be a significant weak spot for the series.

Late in August, FlightFX revealed that they had been doing some extensive updates to their popular Citation X business jet for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The aircraft released with widespread acclaim but it did have a few issues here and there and the developer has been working to make it even better. Little do we know that they were also working on the Hawker 800XP which the Citation X has benefited from.

The folks at iniBuilds have put out a rare public call for experts with a special focus on Boeing and Embraer experts - people who work with these types of aircraft in real world operations. The Tecnam P2012 Traveller V2 has just been released by FlightSim Studio AG. The developer, known more recently for their 727 family of airliners, has returned to a product they released a couple of years ago for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. It's been years in the making and it has just received an official release date. BlueBird Simulations has been working on their 757 for what feels like ages but they report that they are ironing out the remaining features and issues and are closing in on release date. Orbx has been publishing scenery developer Ken Hall's PNG Highland Bush Strips for a couple of years now. The packs are a series of bush strips located in Papua New Guinea in various locations around the island nation. We learned in June that Matt "Wags" Wagner, a Senior Producer with Eagle Dynamics, had been diagnosed with cancer. The outreach from the community was profound with financial and moral support exploding from every corner of the community. Aircraft developer FSReborn have been revisiting old projects recently and back in August released a MSFS 2024 version of their Sirius TL-3000 ultralight project. Now they've got a surprise release of an amphibian variant of the same aircraft. Let's take a look. Ultralight floats Featuring a fancy new trailer from AviationLads, The FSReborn TL3000 Ultralight Floats has just hit the Marketplace for MSFS 2024.

From a big picture perspective, the Taylorcraft BC-12D is a relatively simple airplane. Fitted with a conventional engine, fixed pitch propeller, no flaps, simple avionics, and few other frills. The aircraft could have been pretty good on its own with no additional features from any sim developer, however, Got Friends is not that kind of developer. Here is another great instance where a simple plane can be given a long list of options to make it into airplane that you want to fly or tailor it to the mission you want to go on while filling it to the brim with things that make you feel like you're in the real thing.

Using the new "Exclusive Series" moniker, Microsoft and Flight FX have together launched the Hawker 800XP for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We have a confirmed price (obviously) as well. Let's have a look. Ready for launch Releasing into the Marketplace yesterday, Flight FX's Hawker 800XP is now on sale for $36.99 USD. The business jet sports a lengthy list of features with reportedly deeply simulated systems, custom EFB (with systems visualization system), custom systems modeling, Working Title Proline 21 avionics, and systems persistence across flights with 1,300 parameters tracked. Microsoft was putting some marketing muscle behind the release with their own news item on the MSFS store. You can read the full report here.

We've got some news coming in this week about Odessa and Leningrad - Siege and Liberation for IL-2 Great Battles. The add-on has been out for a while but 1CGS are still working on some of the details for it with plans detailed on adding dozens of additional points of interest and seasonal variations to both Leningrad and Odessa maps. Together with those updates are career mode extensions adding more chapters, more playable squadrons and options for more operations over the course of the seasons.

Microsoft Flight Simulator developer SimWorks Studios has provided an update over the weekend focused on their Kodiak aircraft series. The latest news includes some work on the Kodiak 100, specifically the 2024 version, with some added detail to turbine behavior. We also have a small Kodiak 900 update too. Let's check them both out. A few days ago, Flight FX posted a teaser on their social media and Discord communities teasing a new aircraft reveal and it is now here! The Hawker 800XP, a medium sized business jet, is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and the developer says that they are aiming for a new level of detail and depth on this project. I wanted to revisit something from my full review of Korea IL-2 Series because when I review something I frequently keep on playing it. Especially with something that is so core to my flight sim interests. Career mode for IL-2 Series is a little different than before in which you're a squadron commander of a unit. You're in charge of the day to day options and it means that you do a little logistics, as much flying as you want, and you can really dig into that experience.

It's Friday and we have another DCS World Weekend News update. The highlight this week is a status check on IndiaFoxtEcho's DCS: Fiat G.91 that the developer is currently working on. This Cold War jet is making progress towards completion. Let's see what they have to say. The next airliner project that iniBuilds intends to release is their A380 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Last week I attended a closed door presentation by 1C Game Studios with a showcase of what the team is planning for the next several months and beyond. We were joined by Daneil Tuseev and other members of the IL-2 Sturmovik team who gave a presentation and answered some questions put forward by creators. Aircraft developer Flight FX has released Cessna Citation X V2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
