Considering going “wide” with my next book. Are there any fantasy authors here who’ve made the switch and can tell me if it’s worth it from a strategic business pov? For transparency: about 75% of my income is Kindle Unlimited and going wide means leaving KU, so it’s a big risk for me🤔💙📚

Content warning: there is a spicy book quote ahead from my next book, THE SHARD AND THE SERPENT, an absolutely feral enemies to playthings. No i mean it. This scene is from the middle of battle. They often kiss among violence. It’s just sort of their thing, and if that’s you’re thing then you should (1) def preorder because I’ll love you forever and (2) def follow for more b/c honestly why not?

95% of the comments on viral videos for my books are “my TBR is a 100 miles long so why not”. There’s something menacing and yet beautiful about how we will all collectively be reading into our graves but those TBRs will continue on to guilt trip the next readers and writers.
