Just heard Sen Givens talk about SB 1 to shift more power from the the JCPS board of ed toward the superintendent. Sound familiar? It was struck down by the supreme court. It was just for consideration in this House hearing but Givens said he thinks it'll come back before the committee very soon

If you are filming a cop on your phone from 20 feet away in Kentucky and they think it’s causing them “substantial emotional distress,” the bill sponsor says they can arrest you under this legislation. Filming from 28 feet away and they come at you telling you to stop? 🤷‍♂️

Apparently, Kentucky's constitution written was AIRTIGHT against charters and other school privatization. It's hard to see how charter schools have any realistic way forward now.

Not only is the Beshear administration once again refusing an interview, but their response here is flatly false, as there are multiple lawsuits showing they did this and multiple court rulings chastising them for doing just that.
