Had another custom order for a customer! This one wanted a full *pink* LED setup. Replacing all of the tiny (0.063") LEDs on the front, I installed an LED strip around the fan, creating this slick all-pink look. Plus it got an RGH3.0 install, letting you run homebrew! #gaming #retro #xbox #xbox360

Customer states that he plugged in this OG Xbox, and "it released a gigantic cloud of white smoke". After popping it open, we can see all of these leaky capacitors that are about ready to burst. Got them removed, and replaced with high quality ones! #xbox #modding #gaming #retro

Worked on this Xbox 360 earlier. These versions are ticking time bombs. They come with unstable storage. When this storage fails, your console will be completely unbootable. Luckily, we've got the skills to replace the module and replace with a longer-lived NAND. #xbox360 #xbox #gaming #repair

Had this laptop in for an overheating issue! If you've ever worked on a computer before, you've got to be more careful. If you spill the liquid metal, it will get everywhere, and cause all sorts of electrical issues. Added more liquid metal + spread it around, back to new! #gaming #repair

Had yet another Xbox Series S on the bench for an HDMI port repair. Usually if you're not getting video output on your console, this is the reason. This one has a chip taken out of the side of the port, which means not every pin your HDMI cable makes electrical contact. #xbox #gaming #repairs

These are a pair of Switch joycons where the right bumper was completely broken off. After stitching everything back together using some 30awg (!) jumper wire, it's back and pressing like new. While inside, we upgraded the joysticks to TMR, drift-free joysticks. #nintendo #gaming #modding #repair

This Xbox 360 came in from another shop... The customer bought this console, and ran into issues with it. The other shop completely ghosted them. Then, it's time to make it nice and girly-pop. After a few coats of primer, then some sanding (and more sanding), it's time for the pink and a top coat. It was completely polished and cleaned up to give it a nice shine. Hakuna matata. 🌅💗

First up: The screen Original game gear displays are dim, and kind of rough. This one got a full IPS replacement via the game gear LCD mod plug cable so it's nice, and easy to view in any conditions.

We've got yet another Xbox 360 S (Trinity) in for an RGH3 install! These ones come with an onboard flash chip that's used for storing info. They're basically bound to fail over time. So we got the console itself cleaned up, and then got the flash chip removed.

This PS3 came in, failing to read discs. Found a stuck disc, a misaligned plastic cover... and a penny. Drive + laser cleaned, penny evicted. Then delidded the CELL/RSX, and it now idles at 67C after ~hour of gameplay. This CECHA PS3 isn't gonna be going anywhere #ps3 #playstation #consolerepair

Having to get up to reset your PS1 is quite obnoxious especially if you've got a modded PS1 like this customer! Installed an In-Game Reset mod in this PS1! You do a controller button combo, and bam! Straight back to the menu. Clean wiring to SS, CLK, DAT, and CMD. #playstation #ps1 #retrogaming

These Virtual Boys are rare. Only ~700,000 of them were made. They're all ticking time-bombs too. The original LCD cables are GLUED into place rather than directly soldered. The fix is to replace these failing cables with Virtual Boy Eyepatch cables which can be soldered in place instead.

30-year-old capacitors doing what 30-year-old capacitors do. Just gone doing a full recap on a Sega Game Gear VA5 — fixed the failing screen and headed off the future failures. All those little beige blocks are the old caps. Removed and replaced.

Instead of a normal sized drive, the customer wanted a 4TB HDD upgrade! The stock 360 doesn't support it, so I had to apply a custom patch. Next, I had to make a custom 3D-printed HDD holder, so it can fit the 16mm thick HDD instead of the standard 15mm.

This Xbox 360 required a POSTFIX adapter install to access the POST signal beneath the GPU. Once the adapter gets seated properly, the RGH3 wiring was completed and tuned for nice, consistent boots. #Xbox360 #RGH3 #ConsoleModding #TechRepair

This Xbox 360 was faking a symptom! It had faulty 0402 resistors on the temp sensing circuit, causing it to immediately "overheat". I replaced all of these faulty microscopic resistors, and while it was open, I gave it a full RGH3 install #xbox #retro #consolerepair #gaming

This NES got a full refresh! It came in with a bad quality 72-pin connector causing these fun glitches! It was replaced with a refurbished OEM connector! In addition, the shell got a nice retrobrite! It's back to loading games and playing em good! #nintendo #retro #retrogaming
