A hummingbird hovers just off the flower, preparing to refuel from said tanker...

A Space Invader - an 8-bit-graphic antennae'd, mandibled space monster from the 1978 game Space Invaders. Millennials and later may have seen this game in a museum. (Upon further reflection, this is not an OG Space Invader; it's shadowboxed, and 8-bit graphics can't do that. It's still a symbol from the era of floppy discs and 300 baud... and that makes your aging captioner giggle.)
